Pentaxians June 2011 Outing - Please Post Your Photos Here....

Hey, Desmon, When did you shoot them? We stayed together for quite long time, how didn't I have the luck, even to see them? haha

Baracus, I like your effect you applied. Interesting.

Shoot them at the start point where we mingled around before the group shots and moving off...

Hi All,

Thanks for those who joined the outing, I'm sure you guys had quite a bit fun there :)

This round not many guys joined, probably because of the location? Anyway, it's good to see some new and old friends. Hope we'd see more people joining next round.

As usual, please post your photos here. Here is our small group photo:

Cheers and happy shooting!

the turnout is better than when we first started. Really wanted but got to play tourist guide to some relatives.

Didn't shoot much as was just looking for birds to shoot but not much luck. Using K-5 and F*300mm and managed to shoot this 2 species.

Saw the female but too bad it didn't perch openly.

Would have join the outing if not for the flight delay of my domestic helper.
Original arrival was 0050AM, but changed to 0345AM.:o
Reached home 5.00AM.
Managed to join the group at Adam FC later for lunch.

i know... i'm starting to see the limitation of using ring flash... flat light, hot-spots.

the af160 can, in theory, vary its flash power based on p-ttl metering but its so cranky today that i just adjusted flash power manually. lowest power already but still quite strong. the bright sunlight doesn't help... arrgh...

Sometimes I select the power settings for left or right depending which side has stronger natural light.

Hello DariusMJ, just wondering if there are any PP for the colors ?

Also interesting to see the DA55-300 gives pretty harsh bokeh =O

weekend is so short!

This lens does give pretty harsh bokeh sometimes, especially with the greenery background.

But, the color is nothing short of stunning.

Those shots look underexposed. I absolutely love my 55-300.

Well, below the 200mm range anyways. lol
