Pentaxians Dec 2010 outing - Please Post Your Photos Here :)

Hey bro, I like your images' sharpness and colors very much, mind sharing some post-processing techniques? ;p

Thanks. They are pretty standard.

Portrait setting
The places shots done using in-camera HDR2.

In PP :
Standard shots
Levels > Curves (very slight) > resize > sharpen
Usually no saturation added as Pentax colors are very saturated as they are.

HDR shots
Levels > Curves (tweak the dark tones to make them look right; highlights need very little) > saturate (very slight if necessary) > resize > sharpen

Hope that helps.

Some of mine to share
random cute stuff in shops

Ha..ha...
I think its the camera that is good. (ie. the K5)
(really... with the DR, and HDR feature, 14bit RAW) K5
This were done using the Sigma 10-20mm :)

I heard from many that FA43's bokeh is very bad.. but in my subjective opinion, it is quite lovely ;)

I like the composition but the bokeh is horrendous. What lens is this?

Actually what is so horrendous about the bokeh? Can you be a bit more specific?
The onion rings is an indication of the presence of an aspherical lens element but I don't see that as being horrendous.

Hi Armadillo, you are right in wanting to take your time to explore the capabilities of your existing lens 1st before committing to another.
BTW, you are staying at a place w/a great view of the city-care to post some panoramic shots?

So many nice and interesting photos! Wishing the next outing with pentaxian friends!

Photos taken using JPEG and no editing was done. I'm a very lazy person. Have yet to find a fast and simple editor/workflow. Will try out Lightroom when I have the time.

I just really don't like the uneven onion rings and the CA. Once you see it you just cannot unsee it/ignore it.
