I think for the DA*, it'll be better to get local warranty since it's already this price??!!
ya..I'm actaully quite surprise at the price they quote. ShaShinKi after converting it's only around $1056. (if we change the $$ on our own!)

i've just recieved an e-quote saying that the k200d was $1855 with the 18 to 55 lens

That's a very good price, but again no local or international warranty? better check with Shashinki.
And there's just too much concerns with the SDM to fool around with the newer Pentax lens. Just get the local sets. I think Cathay is offering at 1200? Actually, I haven't seen someone's local copy had too much of an issue with 16-50mm or 50-135mm... maybe the population of buyers are just way to small a sample size to actually have any specific meaning ...

Did you have to ask them over and over before they're willing to sell the K200D? Last time I had to insist many times over that I was only interested in Pentax before he was willing to quote me the price of a K100D.
It'll be great if John 3:16 is starting promoting Pentax on their own accord!

not really. Sam was serving some customer and so I asked another guy.
He asked me to wait and asked Sam. Sam then asked me if it his our shores yet i told him probably yea then he called me to wait and he made a call. When he put down the phone, he told me 1135 for the kit
but he also warned me that there was no freebies etc:bheart:
Everytime I go there, I am pretty sure I ALWAYS get that look that says "Har? Pentax? Siao lar, where got pple buy Pentax one"!

OP just quoted me $860 for the K200d (includes gst )
i'm checking with them its is for the kit or just the body ( who knows ..if kit WOW )
