Also they seem to have most Pentax lenses in stock, saw the DA21, DA40, DA10-17, DA12-24, DFA 50macro, 100macro and the ever popular FA 50/1.4. For once I can't complain about not being able to get Pentax lenses in SG

yes. Cathay Photo also has quite a few Pentax lenses also...now all we need to do is pray that the Pentax 18-250 will come soon!

$1400 is still a pretty good price for the camera as compared with the other brands and you do not need the kit lens too.

Oh - I'm not tempted by the K10D.

(it was just a general comment - and that prices haven't moved is surprising, given how they have dipped have fallen elsewhere around the world)

Ah but knock-on effect of GST hike has increased the cost of doing business here, so no surprise that prices haven't moved downwards locally. Buy thru VPOST/Amazon tie-up already got savings already plus it gets delivered to you. BTW I feel it is better value to get the kit lens because of the wide angle coverage plus it is a pretty decent lens, certainly far better than the kit lens from C & N quality wise.

The GST increase was... 2%...

and those prices were identical before GST.

Having said that, prices here were initially already better than elsewhere, so perhaps this is just elsewhere catching up

Got my K10D for 1440(w/ GST) at Bally Photo.

The sales guy told me that either local or international warranty is provided. The warranty card is from shriro. If its international it can be fixed in all countries except in Singapore.

Do you guys send the distributors copy back at shriro? Or is it ok not to send it?

That is true. I asked at A particular shop in funan it was 1.6 w/o gst but got stock.
