Great captures Zoom3!

If anyone ever asked whether a single prime lens is enough for walkabout, i'll refer them to your series

Thanks. I am very happy with the results too. The FA77 & FA43 are my 2 favourite lens :D

Zoom3, you saved the BEST for last. My favorite photo of the 2 handsome models of Pentax Outing - doing what they do best. kekekeke... :bsmilie:

Finally I understand why everytime someone ask: "What lense do you recommend for portrait?" ,the FA77 always receive the highest recommendation. Too bad I can't lay my hands on one.

may i ask. what is the thing attached to the shoe hole ?

must be a flash ?

Star Trek communications array to "Beam me up, Scotty" ;)

Its a wireless flash trigger from Phottix.

Don't mind I crop your pic to remove someone's shoulder on the left.:)

Good crop, looks much better.

I am now dreaming and drooling for the FA 77 F1.8 + 70-200 F2.8 mm . . .;p

Thanks for all your support, this outing turned out to be one of our biggest ones. Got over 45 people showed up (a few came in the afternoon, so they were not in the group photos). It's good to see quite a few new faces, and great to have those oldies joining as always.

It's a photo outing, but ended up we either chit chat or shot at each other, at least it's my case :D But I'm sure most guys had a lot fun there.

As always, here are the group photos. The first two had the most people, the next two were taken before a few guys joined in the first two:

New upload

No problem Ben. I had also tried to crop away the shoulder but I ended up preferring the original showing more of the streetscape in the background.

Anyway, just to share a problem I experienced with photobucket. The pics I initially posted were horribly compressed. The pics were very blocky, especially evident on the red polo shirts and the bokeh were "rough". They were all compressed to about 99,000 kB. Redoing it today, I could upload in excess of 300,000 kb, which is my original jpg file size. I don't understand why. Anyone have experienced with this ? Can explain?

Unfortunately, I have deleted all my originally posted pics but comparing the newly uploaded pic with the one from Ben (although my original is not quite as bad) shows the drastic difference.

To do justice to the FA77, I have re uploaded all the pics to photobucket and are all now visible in my original posts.

Looks like the the active life of such thread is about a week. A flurry of postings early on and then die off. Any more posts from anyone? After all there were more than 40 of us ! I guess life moves on, eh :-)

Anyway, here are 2 more to round up my contribution. I just love the light and shade rendering and the details on the white dresss on Leengirl.

Thanks for reading & viewing.
