does anyone know how do we go about ordering one?

So it'a about time to buy buy buy again.;p So i think they will be able to start shipping the DA* SDM lenses in late July as indicated.

At about S$1,500 for the DA★16-50 f2.8, I'm definitely keeping my 16-45mm f4. I can live with the one stop difference, lack of Supersonic motor and difference in size and weight. The DA★50-135 will also lighten one's wallet... so I'm definitely staying away :embrass:

I gave the 16-45mm f/4 a miss as thinking to get the 16-50 f/2.8. But will wait for reviews from other users before deciding.:) Has mixing feeling for the 50-135 f/2.8, the 135 end might be a bit too short for me.

The 50-135 is the crop factor replacement of the popular 70-210/80-200 tele-zoom range of 35mm film equivalent, so I guess there will be many who will buy it. The fast max aperture will be the attraction no doubt. Whereas for the 16-50, the 1 stop difference compared to 16-45 isn't going to make that big a difference where wide angles are concerned, that's my view anyway.

How much more is the DA★50-135 expected to push me towards poverty? :what:

Straight yen to S$ exchange is about only S$1,600 thereabouts ...:bsmilie:

Bro, be like me, forget SDM, forget AF... go for manual focus lenses... cheaper, and your fingers get to exercise a little bit more!!! Ha, ha. :bsmilie:
Got a client sending me a nice Sigma 90mm f2.8 Macro in PKA mount from Germany for 72 Euro only. Now waiting for it...

But it's 50-135... It's 2.8.... It's DA*...
And there's SDM... And I'm going Japan... argh.....
I will decide when I'm there...

The future of your wallet is in your hands... :bsmilie:
BTW can buy some small stuff for me if you're in Japan?

Should not be a problem...
Unless I decide to kill my wallet... :bsmilie:

It'll be here in local stores very soon, but very limited number of sets only. So if you really want one, better check some stores (like CP, AP, MS Color ...) everyday from now on :bsmilie:

Good luck.

Congrats Feng wei on joining the Grand Prix gang even before the F1 comes to Singapore next year! And as added bonus, you managed to recruit another young lady to the DSLR rebellion too . Looking forward to seeing more shots from both you and the owner of your old "K10-wing fighter"

Personally, I would have hoped that an international petition be made to ask Pentax to bring the 50th anniversary camera into production...that one really looks different and the cool factor is indescribable! ;). or maybe an international lucky draw for pentax users to win the camera....*drool*
