will shriro honour it especially since they do not have the technical facility yet to offer any support for the K series?

If u are getting it now, I doubt. Lens have international warranty, bodies dun. U have to see if the parallel importer allows u to ship back for servicing.

You can use VPOSTUSA. (i.e. They ship to a SingPost address in USA and SingPost forwards it to you)

That will add probably another S$30-40 to the price including GST.

To Alan and Davey:

if you look at the ad closely, you'd see that they only ship to 'confirmed' US address only. I do have a VPostUSA account, but it can't be confirmed by eBay or paypal. Actually i've used vpostUSA for several eBay purchases already

Anyway, i'll be waiting for the k10D first, and see how much better it'll be. For now, my Ds is going to reach 40k mark soon

hey fellas, I was checking out all the pdf documents of the K100D and there's alot of compatibility questions that need to be asked about the lenses. it seems the stabilisation only works for certain lenses and not all which leaves me wondering if the lenses I already have (Sigma 70-300, Sigma 18-200 and original Kit lens) will work properly...?
Anyone else has such concerns? or did I read the documents wrongly?

I've already seen the K100D selling here in Australia in retail stores....all of them come bundled with Sigma lenses :dunno: should work?

BTW, it's a HOT item nowdays in Japan and HK, out of stock in most shops :bsmilie:

One of my friend just bought the K100D from japan. yesterday meet him try out very good, the focusing very fast and the noise lever still ok when using ISO 800. But 2 bad i didnt take some sample shot 4 u all 2 see. Just Called Shriro, they say will be in at Comex.

that is good news! but i am a little afraid if I buy it tomorrow, then on last day they give more discounts and offers which usually happens in pc shows! but I also do not want to risk no stock on last day....sigh..
