Actually basic editing using Apple's iMovie is quite easy... speaking as a Mac user of course... :bsmilie:

Yeah, I know. But never really come to video editing yet ..

So Mac make your life easy in movie editing?

that's what diego is using, and for me it's quite good. no doubt about that.

what do you think the best lens to be used for this function? I only used fa 50 f1.4 and the effect is quite nice, I don't have any idea for the longer ones without the use of tripod

Really nice videos... I'm counting the days till I get my hands on a K7.. OT a little bit.. does anyone know if an SMC-M lens will work on K7 video? I'm guessing it wont but I cant see a definitive answer on this anywhere...I'm wishin I wont have to replace my M 50mm 1.4.. Thanks..

mm..why should you think it won't work? The beauty of Pentax is its backward compatibility on lenses. The M50 shold have no problems with it. :)

Thanks for your reply... I wasn't sure how K7 would meter with a full manual lens..perhaps it will only work wide open?... I hope somebody has tried this and will kindly share their experience (maybe some sample video :) )

On the K10D and K20D we will put the DSLR in M mode, set the desired aperture on the aperture ring, and press the green button which will stop down the lens and meter and set the shutter speed. The K7 should probably have this as well.

yes they work the same. What your still image sees is what the video will see too. :)

The lens works well on the K-7 and more DOF to play with at wide open.

Being able to use AF when shooting video is definitely a BIG plus.

I used every lens you can imagine depending how what I want to take 31mm, 45mm, DA14mm, wide or mid-tele.
