Pentax K7 video review: first look

[vid]vaFfaTkoUn4[/vid]

the camera looks too small for ang mo's hands :bsmilie:

anyway i can only say its a winner ... it really tempt me... but i still stick to my target... KxD

One reassuring thing about the K7 is that Pentax has addressed the issue of AF under different types of lighting conditions....this is now selective in the menu. That is a real plus point ....... so the moral is .... if you are not happy about anything, just complain ....... ;)

u mean the AF button on the AF selection area ?

"AF start/stop button
Can be used to start or stop the autofocus process for fast shooting."

press to AF, release to stop AF ?? compromise to accuracy leh...

no i think the K-7 can recognise what kind of lighting (tungsten, fluor, daylight, etc) and use that in its AF process. apparently focusing under different lighting conditions (diff wavelength of light) have different effect on the AF, causing BF and FF issues.

Not that... roll the first video again, the angmo mentioned something about AF and what seemed to be WB settings......... perhaps he had the two mixed up ..........

Yes, looks like the K-7 has a secondary AF sensor for improved AF performance in artificial light.

It has all I had imagine except with the uncertainty of the AF-Accuracy and speed ... and the size of the view-finder..

It is incredible it embedded the photographer copy right at instant the picture is taken ...

Wow .... I had only dreamt about it ... it really happened ...

Flowerpot, for someone who has no intention of upgrading from K20D ...... you sure are spending a lot of time in this forum ........... :blah::bsmilie:

It's so nice i wonder what can they improve on in the next model.

It's gonna be the camera of the year. And at that price range, it really whip the ass out of other competitors!!!

Now, who wanted FF? Lol...

Important points to note from the blog

4. Improved low light AF performance and AF algorithms

5. “Green” almost subdued focus assist lamp (it operates quick and efficiently and more subtle than a bright white light)

6. AF tracking in AF-C is vastly improved

7. The AF point selector toggles faster than on K10/K20

Zenten, note #6:)
