Off topic a little. I really pity Sony DSLR users. Bodies are affordable but the lenses....:bigeyes:

35MM 1.4 $2599
70-200 2.8 $3699
300 2.8 $11999 :sweat:

With that kind of prices, it is a instant cure for LBA!

i think the prices are reasonable since similar focal length lenses from other brands are around that price point. i doubt pentax can price it any lower as well. just look at the new da*200. its already higher than canon 200mm.

Maybe I have been spoilt by Pentax lenses. :bsmilie:
But still a check shows that a Nikkor 300 2.8 is about US$4000+ which is about S$6000+. The Sony's is almost double the price! Also I think a 70-200 f2.8 is generally about $2000+?

Never again shall anyone complaint that the DA limited is expensive!

Anyway, where prices are concerned, I actually asked for the price of the DA*16-50, and he quoted me $1700+ :sweat:. When I went waaaahhh... (since I do know that you can get it for much cheaper from websites like Adorama. Haven't tried asking local sources yet.) he admitted that prices outside are better. Not sure if that'll be the case for the K20D body and the DA*200 as well?

At Funan I've been quoted 1300$ and 1400$ for the DA* 16-50 and 50-135 yesterday! (a small shop close to the food court)

Price for DA*200 f2.8 is $2,199. Was told by sales that there are only 5 in Singapore and 3 In Malaysia.
Cannot buy the K20D body alone. It comes with the 18-55 ver 1.

US price at US$1299. Is the price include 7%GST?
Even it is, still xpensive with the old 18-55. while others paying cheaper with the II version.:angry:

Heard many complained about the price there (including myself). With that kind of price, I rather buy a D300 @ $2999.

No promotion for Nikon D300?

The bundle of D300 is quite gd already, as mentioned by many in the nikon forum.

That is SONY marketing tactic. Sell you the body cheap cheap, and make you stuck in the aplha mount camp with all the expensive lenses. Then they sit there and make big bucks!:bsmilie:

oh... one thing that I forget to test at the show.. the Preview on LCD... am I able to link to any TV/Monitor to do previewing when getting the Preview.. I am doing some product shots, and I would love to have this features.. Fengwei, any idea??

No international warranty for DSLR.
So, maybe wait for a few months for the price drop on 20d, or sell the Pentax 10D and lenses get the Nikon D300.

yup, I am thinking the sigma 10-20 and 50-150 is a good combo for A350

And if you complain about K10D's 3fps, you are not going to like the 2.5fps on the A350.
