$13.5K SGD for a digital medium format is real bargain.

Unfortunately, the widest lens available for this system is a 25mm, which translates roughly to about 20mm in 35mm terms. Its not wide enough. If there are wider lenses coming, I'll get it.

Too committed to my Mamiya 645AFDII system already. If I'm starting out fresh, I would definitely grab the Pentax 645D instead!

Anyone knows if Mamiya 645 lenses can be used on a Pentax 645D?

Only thing that there was abit of shutter lag ,due to the huge mirror it has to swing up first

Btw i thought MF focal length was divied by 2 ? So 50mm =25mm ?:think:

About 1.5x, 85mm on MF, approx 50mm on 35mm film format.
The 645D is a cropped MF sensor, so not too sure on the crop factor

The FA75/2.8 is cheap and ok too, but I guess most 645N/645NII film body owners already have it. If prices are right, the above lenses should be easy to sell (not to me though, can't afford :cry

That should the widest available for 645D till date? Even with that, its equivalent to about 20mm. Wishing for something which offers at least 17mm. That would be great for interior works. Nicer if there are a couple of T/S lenses in the system.

Not that I will invest in one anytime soon (or ever) but what is the crop factor for the 645D as compared to 35mm format? Kind of hard to visualize the focal lengths.

*edit ok so according to Kit's figures for the 25mm, its a x0.8 crop to convert to 35mm?

33-55mm = 27.5-44mm
35mm = 28mm
300mm = 240mm
120mm = 96mm

correct?
