Micro..try shooting the wharf at Harbor Front. I blew the highlights on mine. (see picture above)

Kid Shooter, Pass them over. I hope you follow the basic. AEL lock and min 30% overlap.

I don't follow the basic.Ngam Ngam only and no AEL.

What lah...thank God I have no taboo (pantang) over such things.. else I dump them back at you.

P.S. Pass me your email... i send it back to you. The level was not held properly plus the overlap...what can I say.

E-mail=evofans11111@yahoo.com .Sorry for the not level and not enough overlap as i don't know the rule of panaroma.

Sent. Did not really check for picture overlap errors. ;)

can i ask which pano head u r using ?
the manfrotto was quoted at S$790, ouch.
any advise on pano heads ?

mention many times before, I do not use any pano head or any form of assist. It's only me, hand held. I still have not found any reason to use those expensive pano heads. For night pano, I use a simple sakura tripod.

Here's my contribution to this thread...

I'd admit it doesn't really have much visual impact but hey - it's nice and long :bsmilie:

(Stitched 6 frames to get this)

Was it shot in raw? if so, try some HDR on it. then join. It may bring out the low lights and enhance the colorful sky.

Shot it in JPEG. Had to underexpose the foreground cos the sun was setting on the right and I wanted to retain details/color in the sky.

I'm not one for too much PP so I hardly shoot RAW. Cases like this I'll usually slip on a Grad Filter but on this occasion I forgot to pack it along. Am starting to give HDR a try though... learning as I go... :)

Question: Do you use a polariser when shooting for Panos?

Cos I noticed that when I do, I end up getting a banded sky after stitching cos the degree of polarizing changes as the camera pans from frame to frame due to the change in the polarizing angle.

What's the best approach to using a polariser for pano shots?

Tried that but as you have noticed the banding. So it's now usually done in RAW and slightly underexpose.

If filter, then with ND filter. I also have the disadvantage of not owning a polariser bigger than 58mm. and that don't work with the 40-150. only lens that I can use it with is the 14-45 but that is now permanently sitting in my dry box.

With the new panorama maker 4, I just dig out some old pictures that I have not stitched and posted....

This is a vertical Panorama done in Langkawi.

All done with the E-330 and 14-54 or 11-22 lens.
