Panasonic X 12-35 & 35-100 f2.8 constant aperture lenses

The Olympus F2 lenses were monsters comparable to the F2.8 lenses from the other companies.

I wonder if that was why the Olympus system never took off. They veered off their promised small size. In the end, the system was as big as any DSLR from Nikon or Canon, yet the noise sensitivity and DR wasn't as good.

Yep.. The oly 4/3 f2 lenses are behemoths !! I'm sure this panny x lens will have tons of sw correction to maintain the size..

Or lots of Aspherics at the least.

Think the 12-35 weights about 300-350g and the 35-100 400-450g. Probably I will skip this and get the following:

7.5/3.5, 7-14/4.0, 12/2.0, 20/1.7, 14-42 X, C/Y 50/1.7, C/Y 100/2.0 and 100-300/4.0-5.6.

I would not get the 12-35, which can be replaced by 12/2.0 and 20/1.7.

I am lazy to zoom. Take picture first then crop haha kidding.

I think it has to do with different style.

Anyway, I think we are not that insane compared to some hardcore supporters who thinks that the new mirrorless compact DSLR like quality camera is superior and even replace their entry level DSLR.

Yeah..me mostly on 14mm and 20mm with 2 cam when on trip. Lazy to zoom and lazy to use my left hand at all when shooting, sometimes my left hand holding a pack of kopi ice !! The weight, and shot through LCD, is the best part I enjoy m4/3.

Totally agree... GF3 with 20mm is damn shiok! One handed also can. Low light also can... and since it looks like P&S, no one even looks when i street shoot..

Go for m4/3 is because of its overall size. If the lenses are too big (like those NEX lenses), I'd rather use my dSLR (which I already have anyway).

To me it's the small size bodies w/ matching small prime lenses that allured me here. Even the PL25 I feel already pretty out of balance when mounted on G3...

Think about this, I really miss the 20, which I used exclusively during my recent trip to HK and China. 10 days, one lens alone!

I miss the compactness of the 20 vs the PL25 which I am using now. But the AF speed of the 20 on my oly epl3 is rather slow. Seemed to be faster when I used it with my gf1 last time.

Wish they would release a 20mm mk II.
