Lastly, does S150 support feature like fade..etc for ending a video or changing to another scene?

I suggest you bring an SD card go test drive the cameras in shops (Harvey norman, Courts etc.) Its a considerable amount of money so its better to make decision based on actual hands-on usage than reviews you read on the internet.

That's a job for software like Adobe Premier Elements.

If you are looking for a camcorder, take your time to search for one. The JVC MG505 isn't a bad camcorder too. Review is here.

tried a A/B comparison test on SDR H250 and JVC GZ-MG505.

Prefer JVC GZ-MG505 (sharper, clearer, low light ok, ZERO LUX, etc ) though it is few hundred dollars more. JVC GZ-MG505 are more designed for video taking.

Hence, brought the JVC GZ-MG505 home & now charging.

OIS of panasonic SDR S150, H250 are only in camera mode. For Video mode, there is no OIS. SDR S150, H250 are more meant for camera. Video taking are just a additional features. blah blah...

What kind of deal did you get with the MG505?

How come the video files are in .mod extension (shouldn't it be .mpeg)??

manual says if video files is not recorded or saved properly, the file will be saved with extension ".mod"

AH? I Got the JVC..

But, No joke, video taken is sharp, detail & vivid color.

I used the Capty Mpeg... to view.

Now, i got this problem; the extension is ".mod"

Can't view on QUickTime, etc.

how to convert & what is ".mod"

Just rename the file extension to .mpg, I remember it worked on a JVC camcorder I had in the past.

GZ MG575 is having sales now. Is this model better than 505?

I think you need to wait for some reviews on this camcorder. The chip is new and there is some fancy low light spec.

Saw some video clips shot with SDR S100, the clips are like movies. Damn beautiful.

Not sure will the S150 produces such clips as S100

I might conside getting the S150 when the SDHC card price drops.

Frankly, Sanyo H2 is also good except that it has no OIS.

Thanks. I am surprise you said Sanyo HD2 is good. most review does not have good comments on HD2.

The image is good for day and night. Not sure why review stated that night shot is bad.
Maybe they refer to jungle conditions..

Good Decision. Most importantly, there is no shaking when zoom far out. thanks to the OIS.

but the clips got people photos, is it offensive to post without thoseknowing?
