Done one at the Garden by the Bay ... i am impress by the AF & zooming. Let me try to see I can upload on my website; if not I would need to open an a/c with U-tube. Stay tune!!

Any other Queries??
I have only few more hours of (tonight & tomorrow morning) to test...;):what:

So far I have request on
1) Macro
2) Video

thanks, look forward...

Mono-chrome looks good with high ISO at 1600 ; it has a film grain appearance.
LX7 is would be a great choice those Candid & Street photography.

F2.3, 1/25, ISO 1600, SHADE, Multi-Metering APERTURE PRIORITY, 108 MM FOCAL LENGTH OF LENS

Aspect ratio 1:1

Btw, how did you get 108mm? I see extra optical zoom in the specs so wondering what this is.

Any other Queries??

A couple more if you can find the time :)
- 11fps feature, what's buffer time to next shot after 11fps burst. With which speed of SD card?
- 250sec, this is impressive, don't even find in many pro level cameras. Possible to do a super long exposure > 1m (with ND feature) to test out some noise at lowest ISO 80?

Thanks for the effort!

Hand held -Video recording on Garden by the Bay by LX7

I like the true color of this video and the sound is clear.
Select Motion Picture> Wind cut for a clear sound recording.
A tripod would be great for video recording.

Double-click the video (after enter into the website) to have a full screen view.
Take some time to download.. quite a long video.

Click below Video link
Zenfolio | Stanley Kay Photography | LX7 Review | Video 27

I selected AVCHD>SH and use Program AE.

Other setting selection are
Aperture Priority
Shuttle Speed priority
Manual Exposure and
High Speed Video

Types of Video selection are
Avchd -PSH, FSH, AVCHD
MP4-FHD, MP4-HD, MP4-VGA

The maximum zoom is 108mm; probably this is the max tolerance on top of the spec.max 90mm. On the LCD screen you can see X3.8 instead of X3 when using 90mm. This is not Optical zoom it was shown as turn off on the properties.

The continuous fps is so fast. Set at 5fps and depress the shuttle ; it start snapping without you knowing how many frames you are shooting.
I thought I could hear the "click" sounds like the dslr ..LOL
Tested this on still life. I'm yet to test this on street moving subjects

Tested a 250sec shot. Singapore light pollution is bad for for long exposure. It still turns out quite ok. Will post the pix soon.

Great news... Thanks Eddy & Panasonic .

Lx7 has an aperture ring; the screw cover can be unscrewed for lens accessories. Its design is different from LX5

Different between LX5 (Black) and LX7(White) lens ring .
The Auto lens cap for LX5 would not be suitable for LX7

I am still using the LX3 with the Pandabase tube enclosing the whole lens even when extended. With this I can use a UV or CPL filter. Looking at the pictures I cannot tell whether it is possible to do the same now that there is the aperture ring. Can you please check the possibility. Thanks.

MACRO - Mini Orange
I like both the color and details .Simply Great

Screw-thread adapter/tube cannot be used for LX7 due to the different design as shown below.

I believe the Adapter/tube manufacturer would need to produce something adaptable.

Retouch function
Retouch is an interesting feature for simple & quick editing on the camera while preview the photos.
There are 14 options of Creative Retouch. I like Mono, Mini, STAR, Exps and Retr.

Wish list
Include the Type of Creative Retouch instead of just "Retouch" in the EXIF( photo properties )
Adding a LOMO option in the Creative Retouch would be great

Scene Mode Selection (SCN)> Panorama shot
Panorama shot with four options on the panning direction ( left<>Right and Down<>Up )

Creating a Panorama shot is simple by panning the camera on the selected scene. No editing/stitching editing process is required.

Tested a 250sec shot (with ND). Singapore light pollution is bad for long exposure. It still turns out fine and not grainy; but over exposed.
If time permit, I would try to locate a real dark location with interesting subject to test this again.
