My side of the story ended. Collected my memory card and battery this morning. Not needed to bang table but had to go through a few rounds of emails. Nevertheless, thanks to Panasonic for honoring their word.

Looking to get Lumix gx8
Any good shops to suggest ?

Any difference if I buy from big stores like Harvey norm,
Or from smaller retail shops?

Larger or smaller shops doesn't really matter as much as them being reputable and honest

The larger shops like Courts etc generally may have lesser for negotiation coming to prices except HN at Funan where I have experience a good discount before ; other than that I'll say to always duly do a good comparison of prices / packages across a few shops before setting down for one.

Probably if you can get the following, you shouldn't complain liao:

1) Price of GX8 with 14-42 kit lens: $1,450

2) Freebies: One extra original battery (meaning you will get 2) + one lousy 16gb SD card

Also comes with 2 SD cards, a small casing and extra batt which I plan to collect tmr

For telephoto, i didnt get the 35-100mm F2.8 lens, instead i bought the pz 45-175mm F4.0--5.6mm
the salesperson was suggesting this lens is better for video usage

gotta test this real soon

But I abit regret not getting the 35-100mm F2.8


May do more test and self training for 3-4months, then I will probably get an alternative quality lens
