Hey guys, I have PM-ed boboshot to clarify matters in the evening and originally wanted to post the contents after boboshot check with Panasonic Singapore again to get a conclusion on this matter.
But to prevent further confusion, here is what I told him:

Below is the reply from Panasonic Singapore on Facebook PM when I asked about us early birds being cut out of the new promotion.

The reply indicated that the new promotion is extended to "those" that bought GX8 in September, not just me alone. Panasonic too did not ask me to show this message when I proceed to do the redemption at Bedok.
While redeeming the stuffs at Bedok on Tuesday (13 Oct), the staff did not mention to me that September buyers are not entitled to this promotion nor did I show the FB PM to them to identify myself being entitled to this promotion.
Although my FB PM with Panasonic was 1 week before the date I redeemed, I felt that it was only right for me to inform you guys after I successfully redeemed anonymously so that misunderstandings/ miscommunication will not occur.
Therefore, with the experience I detailed above, I hope to communicate with you that I did not receive any special entitlement to get the extra redemption nor did I miscommunicate the info. of the redemption for early birds like us.
I would also like to suggest that you try to contact Panasonic Singapore through the FB PM with regards to this redemption. I'm happy for you to show the image I attached above to them while communicating as a form of proof that Panasonic did indeed represented the information this way.
Hopefully, this is just some miscommunication between Panasonic Singapore FB admin and the front- end staff at the Bedok Customer Care Centre and I wish that you will be able to redeem the extra stuffs.
Once again, I hope this clears up any misunderstanding you may have on this matter.

Update on the redemption saga:
went down to Panasonic again and showed them Dave's FB image, they still insist no such offer and their system cannot key in for sept purchases. cutting the story short, after banging table, they back down and gave it to me. Bad news is, no more will be given out.

That sucks then. I wrote an email to them to ask yesterday but their initial reply was no. I sent them again the screen cap and they have yet to reply.
according to them, no more after my redemption. they will also update their facebook to clarify.
unless you go bang table.

Looks like Panny is rearing its ugly head again. Last time I had to bang table to get a good resolution when Panny's Service centre was at bukit merah. There used to be a Panny lumix product person on CS, user name Zan82. But don't see him active at all in the past year or 2.
Been a Panny m4/3 user since the G2. Still feel that they are as messed up as ever. Front end doesn't know what the backend is doing. Marketing and sales not in sync with customer service etc. no change after 5 years. My 2 cents? You want better service, switch to Oly.
Oh well, moving on just hope that Panasonic will be clearer and consistent about redemption matters.

Was at Best Denki a few days ago, the salesman told me that there is no such additional spare battery offer.
So, this spare battery sales over oredi meh ?
I believe the redemption gift of spare battery n 16gb u3 card is on this month of october by panny. I bought mine on 2nd oct and collected my gift last saturday. You may call up panny to confirm.

the salesman is probably not up to speed. I got mine at Harvey early Oct and was shown an official looking paper by Panasonic listing various freebies with respective models.
Yalah, so I better hoot before Oct lah ... wonder what Nov's offer will be ?
I think Panny's price will be around the same ... but I agree on the "missing out the fun" part ...

My side of the story ended. Collected my memory card and battery this morning. Not needed to bang table but had to go through a few rounds of emails. Nevertheless, thanks to Panasonic for honoring their word.
