Are the GH series cameras released in Singapore PAL only. I hated PAL only on my Sony A57, then when I got the A7 I found I can switch from PAL to NTSC and get 24p and 60p. Will GH4 in Singapore have limitations like that. Cause in the US version I can switch between PAL and NTSC.

Also regarding warranty does Panasonic provide global warranty say for a NTSC model from US. Cant make out for sure from the link below.

Up to GH3, yes, that seems to be the case. GH4 will be PAL / NTSC switchable.

On the second question, AFAIK, answer is no.

Only the countries listed under "Countries/Areas where products are purchased" will supply the products with a Limited Worldwide Warranty.

Their UK site is a bit clearer, as they label that section "Countries/areas which supply worldwide warranty with products purchased"

Thanks for the info... Will see the local version features and limitations... I really dont need 4k now but will keep a look out for this camera... Maybe pick it up on Black Friday this year....

As long as you don't buy one in the EU. Same as its predecessor the GH3, EU units will likely have the restriction to avoid additional tax levied on video cameras.

Overseas prices of body for reference: ￥ 168,800 (S$2080) / US$1700 (S$2125).
IIRC, GH3 was US$1300 in US when first launched, local MSRP was S$1700.

You should get the GH4 THEN sell your canon ...

But if you use it concurrently as a photo camera, then i would think DSLR are still more 'natural' for photography (but thats me)

Just because of the sensor I would go with a full-frame DSLR for stills as well but I'm actually already more comfortable shooting with a permanent live view camera even for photos. And Panasonic has my favourite user interface. On the other hand the GH4 is quite expensive compared to cameras like the 6D and D610...
