Nope, maybe 1-2 years after it launches.
I need a new editing rig more than I need a new camera. ;p

Most prob i'll be getting one when it arrives ... but i'll need to beef up my system with Thunderbolt SSD first.

Looking at buying after I see real world results and reviews. The current one is not convincing enough.

I'm almost certain to upgrade but only after NAB just in case something irresistably better comes along.

Well said. Suddenly the market for video cam DSLR hots up w all these new technologies

Call me crazy but if Sony comes up with a 4K VG40, it will be VGX0 vs GHX all over again!
The fight of the form factor so far
2011: VG20 vs GH2
2013: VG30 vs GH3
GH4's codec should be unbeatable but the YAGH and external power requirement is cumbersome for audio work.
I much prefer sony's multi interface hotshoe design and their XLR module is much cheaper.
But fast E-mount primes are few and far in between.
After fleeting between GH2 and VG20 for 2 years, I'm hoping to finally settle on just one native lens system.
Hopefully 2014 is the time. If not, I'll switch to just a set of cine primes and keep auditioning new cameras.

Looks like its gg to be the case. Sony seems to be very serious and competitive in this area

Damn it man ... Just give me a cheaper Canon C100 ... I really want the XLR audio which is inbuilt + the ND Filter + Simple SD storage (no need funny new cards that cost $200) ...

C100's Full HD looks much better than any FullHD in the market anyways so i don't need to go 4k as yet.

Hahahaha.. Totally.. if your editing rig can't keep up with the 4K also no point buying a 4K camera.. LOL

Haha. Yeah, dangerous to be watching these...

Here's one that's not really a review, but does cover some very interesting points:

Panasonic representative, Matt Frazer, visited Zacuto headquarters in Chicago to give us a first look at the Lumix GH4. This latest offering from the Lumix lineup is making headlines as the first-ever (DSLM) digital single-lens mirrorless camera with built-in 4K video recording.

Matt describes the GH4 as packed with all kinds of features to support both photographers and cinematographers alike. Features include a 16.05-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor, image processor capable of capturing high-resolution JPEG and RAW stills, cinematic DCI 4K 4096×2160 video at 24p, a micro four thirds image sensor & lens mount & more.

Looks good ... CameraTVstore's reviews are always very accurate ...

Looks like i'm gona pre-book it ... I love the idea of having 4k without the massive file sizes from 4k Raw or even 4k pro res
