Hi, guys,

I bought a mount adapter to fix Zuiko lens 40-150mm f/4-5.6 lens to my G1.
But when I need to updated the firmware of the lens to my G1. There have no processing.
So i only can use manual focus.

According to the info from the here, http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/connect/g1.html, the lens should be working if updated the firmware successfully.

Anyone can help me?

I believe you brought the 3rd party type mount adaptor without the contact pin
to connect between the G1 and 40 - 150mm, that why you need to manual focus.

good news. I removed everything, took out the lens and mount adapter and install it again.
The firmware is working.
The lens is working now.

You can use the Panasonic made flashes or the Olympus ones. Alternatively... in MO section, someone is selling a small flash that is quite handy and light.

I think how many photo you have taken showing the shutter count.

lets say u did not reset your camera.

fo example when u take a photo, it will be called dsc1010599

so that means u've taken 599 photos.

ignore the first 3 numbers as those are the prefixes. it will go up to dsc102xxxx, dsc103xxxx so on and so forth.

look at the last 4 digits of your picture filename to get an idea of the count.

note that this is only valid if u did not reset the count number in the menu option.

i'm not sure. i quite heart pain when i heard about this as i bought my G1 a few days before hearing about this offer. should have waited and saved so much money.
