The GH5 looks better than the GH4, but I am underwhelmed by the Venus imaging processor details and lack of PDAF.

It feels as though the GH5 will be just as likely to lose focus while recording video and that the AF for stills might still focus on a wall behind a person instead of the person.

Totally no news in Singapore. In China some shops already take preorder. Start shipping out 20 April. Contacted Panasonic Singapore 3 weeks ago and was told to stay tune and would have announcement in within weeks. But then now already 3 weeks..

When Adorama, New York City, has them in stock, it will be the first sign that pre-orders have been completed at many stores in the U.S.A. They usually have products earlier than most stores.

I remember trying to get a GH4 in June 2014 near New York City and the salesperson said that they were finishing up their pre-orders at that time and they might have stock, but it wasn't until December that I actually got one.

i think the response towards the camera sale is underwhelming for sg. so i was able to pick it up without a preorder.
