Think is bcos price is high and both pany sg and dealers are conservative in bringing in stock and waiting to see market response.
Pany is known for not holding stock by themselves and instead will want dealer to commit on keeping stock. If dealers arent sure of the demand they will order little for the first batch and hence those first batch might have been gone by now. Well probably have to wait for their second batch.

was at awf last week, uncle james said the sets were local, so warranty is ok, not shop. but they have no stocks again.
It sounds like demand is higher than they anticipated. They probably based their projections on GH3 sales... and GH3 sales weren't that hot. Haha.
Can't believe they planned to produced only 2,500 per month initially. For comparison, Nikon had a production target of 30,000/mth for the D800, and 5,000/mth for the D4. Wonder if it's a reflection of how small the m43 market is? Or perhaps they were just being conservative. In any case, I'm not rushing to buy it so I'm okay. ;p

Just checking, how much a the older GH3 now ?
Is it still the same price as when it was launched ?
Reason I ask is whether to buy the GH4 now or wait later when the price comes down (question is whether from history do Panasonic lower their price or do they hold it through out ?)

Think the last I know was $1.3k +.. one thing about pany higher tier cam is that the price don't usually fall very fast for brand new set. For instance the gh3 was $1.5k+ when it was launched 1.5 year ago. Compare to oly, pany do not have worldwide warranty policy hence many might hesitate to buy from oversea even if their price is cheaper.
