that's because 46mm isn't a common size therefore the shop dun usually stock them. you'll have to get them to order for you or else, stay tuned at the BS section in this forum..

stepping ring isn;t going to solve his problem. but it'll create more problems like the lens barrel won't be able to retract upon powering down. it'll going to damage the motor also..

hey just got my fz18 recently and i think it's good for learners like me to start with. im loving it!

anw, does anyone knows where i can get a bag for fz18? cause the bag it comes with lacks space and compartments to hold SD cards and batteries :(. i just need those with small compartments to hold this 2 things will do. and where can i get spare batteries for fz18? cause i will be bringing my cam to austraillia in a month's time so i probably be taking alot of photos there.

sry for for asking so many questions! :embrass:

Yup, i am also looking to a nice bag to hold the camera.
Planning on a trip to Japan, would wanna look more style when walking around the streets with a camera in a stylyish bag

you can go to Cathay Photo or Alan Foto for Bags. There are other shops there selling camera bags too. Happy Shooting for Australia & Japan.

Thats the two destination I wanted to go with my cam...argh...! :P

I finally got a CPL filter for 46mm. Selling at $29 just beside CP Peninsula shop.

nice photo... did u use zoom for photo number 3?
i'm planning to get the DMW-LA3 adaptor to use 55mm filter, coz 55mm filter seem more common

55 or 52mm? Mine is 3rd party adapter 52mm. Easy to find. But its gonna be hard is you gonna take Macro with close-up filter. The distortion is very bad. I always got problem. Coz I tremble alot.

Thats why I find 46mm Macro lens. very hard to find. The aunty who sells this Vitacon 46mm semi-fisheye lens w/ macro lens also said its very hard to find.

I zoom a little then I move to and fro to get the sharp image.

got my camera bag today! it's a lowepro bag, got it at Cathay Photo at marina. like it cause it's well padded and spacey!

still haven't got my battery though cause the salesperson there said that they are out of stock. any where i can get the batteries? when i saw the price of batteries there, i was ...

Curious how much did the sales quote you for the battery?

he didn't quote me. i saw the price tags for Li-ion batteries. it was $75....

last time when i was about to buy FZ18, i called alan photo to check on the price on the original spare batt... they told me $55... then i went to mscolour to get my camera and the spare batt... at first they are unwilling to give it to me at $55 for the spare batt... but after i told them that i have offer from another place tat told me $55 and tat person after looking at the amount of things i buy they decided to just give it to me at $55...

moral of the story... try to get the spare batt at $55 if possible

and dun have to go to the shop and ask... get their phone number from their website and call them, ask them and say thank you and hang up... found the best offer than go down and get it... =) ...

i found a very old external flash bought long ago. i tried using it with my fz18 but the pictures were dim even though in actual fact the flash was very strong. issit due to the flash unable to synch with my fz18 shutter speed? the external flash looks like this:

Try adding a diffuser to on the flash, since the flash head is fixed you can't bounce your flash for a balance light.
