Correct me if im wrong, but one battery holder can also hold 4 AA batteries, thus two battery holders needs 8 AAs.

You can also opt to use "rechargable AA batteries" to operate instead buying 2 BLM-1 batts.

So which one do you guys think its better, buying 2 BLM-1 batteries or invest in several good 2700MAH rechargable AA batteries.

More AAs better, can use as flash batteries.

And it also includes adapter for studio shoots. Good deal aint it. Kindly infd if Alan photo has stock.

Each battery holder holds SIX AA batteries instead of four. So that is a total of 12 batteries. That is a lot of batteries if you ask me. But in the case of the E-510, personally it is a good thing as it adds weight to the camera, thus balancing the use of the E-510 with larger, longer lenses. But not everyone will agree with the added weight issues.

To each his own preference. For me I like the weight, but definitely everyone will appreciate a heavy E-510. But I am quite sure the battery life with the newest 3000mAH AA batteries will be longer.

Quite true. If it is cheap, then it makes sense since many things in the house needs batteries to power up anyway... ok, shopping assignment tomorrow... ha ha ha...

Any idea where to buy the new 3000mah rechargable batteries? What brand? Im quite interested in rechargable AA batteries.

Buy many many can power up my car. safe petrol. hehehehe.

3000mAh Rechargables? :o

I think the highest available now (mass market) is 2700mAh...

But I remember someone posting on another thread that the Energizer e2 has a rating of 3000mAh... it's not a rechargable though....

Yes. It is available for the following models :

Currently available :

- E-510

Coming model :

The E-410's grip will be smaller, and therefore the grip is re-designed from ground up and much different from the current range of products.

Where can I get one for my E-510 here in the USA?

Buy direct from their website. I'm sure the taiwan company very willing to send to US. :sweatsm:

One more question. Do any battery clips come with the grip in the price listed on their website? Are the AA clips included with the grip also or to I have to pay extra for them?

Their website isn't too clear on what's included in the base price of the grip. Or maybe I missed that page. lol

Thanks

Ownuser has appointed a distributor in the US. Check out their website for more details. Stocks should be in the US in a month or two.

The only reason why pricing and details are not on the website is because, local distributors decides on the package and prices for their respective regions, so check with your local distributor. You should be able to find the US distributor by emailing them. Cheers.

Alan Photo is selling the grip for the E-510 already?

The grips are in Singapore, so I believe Alan Photo can get them from the distributor almost the next day.

Let's see how many of you E-510 users are interested in bulk buy, and maybe I can arrange for something. No promises, let's see what is the response from the community first. Should be in the range of S$140-S$180. List for S$199. I am in contact with the local distributor.
