So does it work on a E-330? And if so, the 1/2 press function, is it there?

Nope - no half-press function on the E330 as it triggers by means of a little IR Diode that's on the Grip and pointing upwards towards the Camera.

You'll need to switch the E330 over to IR Remote Triggering.

Blu, as what they said, it give a good alternative for extra batts for your camera. Too bad the IR dun work if not i might even consider getting it. Also the IR dun really work well too need to 'mirror' or cover the IR diode in order for it to work well.

will it be available for E500 as well? :)

Yes. It is available for the following models :

Currently available :
- E-330
- E-500
- E-510

Coming model :
- E-410

The E-410's grip will be smaller, and therefore the grip is re-designed from ground up and much different from the current range of products.

Hi,

From what's being stated in here, Alan is bringing in the e510 ones...
Is there any info regarding them bringing the e500 grips or the top plate?...

Thanx all

Don't forget to use "matching" batteries...

Meaning don't stick one Original and one 3rd Party BLM-1 in the Grip; might be okay and probably nothing bad will happen but you never know... :sweatsm:

but the grip can work on non oly batteries right? i mean, if they only change the plates, the battery chamber can hold nikon or cannon or sony batteries..

And Pentax too I think...

It also has an A/C-IN Jack if you need one for long studio work or time-lapse photography.

Sidenote: How cool would it be if it also functions as a charger!!

Thx Dom, so it seems like to budget myself again, i gotta get 2 3rd party batt for this grip already. Unless no choice then pull my original out for temporary. Still I guess 2 3rd party batt is still cheaper then 1 original. hahaha...

Cons: :(
> When gripping vertically, your thumb tends to fall over the battery-bay latches, so be carefuly not to accidently open the battery-bays

Your concern has been addressed long ago, look at figure 7.

The photo taken on that day shows it was not locked, too excited to see it working :bsmilie:. It will be safe when it is locked.
