I will be in Taipei soon and if it is, I will buy from there.
Anyone knows where to buy in Tapei?
Thx in advance

It is only cheap if you can buy it directly from them, which is not possible unless you know them... Better to buy it from Lau Enterprise. They are the official distributor. They can offer very good prices.

not sure if they will sell me cheaper since we are in the same building... my colleague know the guy well... haha...

In case anyone still interested, called up Lau Marketing last week, and they mentioned that the grip for E-410 is not available in Singapore... yet..

my grip is malfunctioning after 3~4 months of usage. the shutter buttons can only trigger AF but doesn't trigger the shutter. can't tell if its a problem with the grip or the USB port on my E510.

wonder if anyone else is getting the problem?

Bring to Lau Marketing since it should be under warrenty?

hi guys, been using this with e510 for close to 4 months without any problems at all. The only issue I found is when charging the batteries (original as well as 3rd party) I need to take the batteries out of the housings. I realize that the batteries fit VERY snugly into the housing, so am wondering will the batteries be damaged due to constant wear and tear? Always felt apprehensive when charging batteries coz need to exert strength to get the batteries out of the housings... so far everybody's batteries are ok?

I think it is better for batteries to be snug bro. I cannot imagine the battery grip to become a musical instrument and start rattling, though I had a feeling that the enginners, while designing the grip, became a little too enthusiastic about the fit...

hmmm true.. it's just that for my case rough handling of the batteries are required to pull them out, afraid that the metal connecting parts of the batteries may be damaged due to friction against the housing. Anyway right now I'll try to use my e510 without the grip to see how it feels :)

It is good if you can actually write in to Ownuser and let them know of your concerns. You either get a replacement or at least, they will try to give you some advise on how to better use your grip.

sorry for bumping this thread. does the grip work without any batteries? i.e. use it as a vertical grip only, battery power take from camera.
