ya, haven't shooting ever since last outing..

hmm, anyone have any topic? street shooting, still life, marco?

Do a woodlands series?

Just like the Punggol one... we could shoot everything in Woodlands (marsiling, admiralty?), a series?

Hmm not so gd to copy ppl idea:thumbsd: ... maybe can create our own theme:think: ...

i dun think its copy lah. It's only shooting about Woodlands. Anybody else could shoot about Jurong, Ang Mo Kio or even Tuas. Im sure there other people out there who did some neighbourhood shoots as well way before the Punggol series, i dun see his work as a copy.

Besides, Woodlands is a pretty big area...not neccessary only shoot nature, what about people? Landmarks? Erm....maybe housing area?

Yup im just suggesting. Myself staying in this area for about 2 years...i see potential in this neighbourhood for photography. (likewise other parts of Singapore as well.)

im staying next to woodlands garden (issit the one with the pond? not the one on the hill right?), i havent been there for shoots....though i may advise people to avoid the area at night. :bsmilie:

But firstly is there a thread for woodland shooters to show their photos?

Hmmm...locations ah? lets see...

- woodlands garden (like u mentioned)
- former woodlands bus interchange, near the checkpoint,
shops, market, sheng shiong? (well to shoot those doing business or people, try to do it
discreetly)
- hdb blocks, buildings architecture can be interesting, depending on how you see it
(eg. Misato's Woodlands Colous)
- causeway point, civic center, fun fair (currently ongoing)
- woodlands stadium, swimming pool (under renovation), nearby Marsiling hill.
- admiralty road west (near the original Marsiling estate), the area where they have a prison, a few old colonial houses (not sembawang), abandoned mental hospital (which is probably out of bounds by now)
- republic poly, sports school, inova jc, many numerous sec/pri sch buildings
- industrial areas
- temples (there's two near causeway point, within 10 mins walk)
- admiralty area, flats, people
- kranji, war memorial, horse racing

they may be other areas which i miss out...but surely there's something out there to shoot for everybody. One doesnt have to bring out all his/her w.m.ds, tripods, etc to shoot, sometimes even handphone cam could be good enough (for day shots)

A read up on Woodlands

i search/quick browse through 15 pages for "woodlands" in cs, not much. hehe
Perhaps we could start a gallery thread to put our woodlands shots in, after a period of time, maybe consolidate the better shots to be put into a finalized Woodlands thread?
Just a suggestion, what do the rest think?
:sweatsm:

It is a good suggestion. :D

Hi all

I am new to photography too and would like to join the woodlanders club.. staying in Northoaks at Admiralty....

Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey,

I am also around there; staying in block 787C, Woodlads Crescent. Did you ever shoot in the Crescent Park?

Please let me know if you intend to try, if not.

thanks
