[ortega] Hands on Samsung NX1

Picture looks good but video seems a bit weird.

There seems to be some digital distortion(is there a name for it?) on the outline of subject, saw a few NX1 video in Youtube have similar effect.

Is this a problem during file conversion or the result of constant AF during video shooting?

Not sure about that, I do not have the equipment to view 4K video at full resolution, video professionals, any comments or help with this?

I guess we have all learned our lesson ...you must not scrimp on getting the fastest available card for the Samsung NX1 ....... :)

actually just get the fastest card that you need for your genre of photography,
so if you want to do sports and shoot RAW at 15FPS then get the fastest card you can find,
JPEG Super Fine this card has no problems keeping up.

Yep ....but if must spray, then you better pray that your card can keep up .................... :bsmilie:

Does it take UHS-II cards?

yups! the focus in the darkness test.

BIF seems interesting too :D

When you spray and pray, are you using jpeg or raw? I tried in Samsung store the other day. I was disappointed with the buffer of camera and the processing speed. Spraying with 15fps on raw, the buffer filled up within 1 or 2 sec and took 5 or more sec to clear with the camera no usable at that moment.

The camera in the showroom is installed with an ordinary Sandisk 2gb class 2 card. Little wonder that you were disappointed.

Since there is no external battery charger included in the box, you might want to know how long it takes to charge the battery with the supplied charging plug and cable
Just having a little fun with time lapse app on an android device

It took just over 2 hours
