Prices are pretty decent there
I have bought some things from OP and find their service and pricing acceptable, I would buy from them again if the need arises. I would not say the same for John. There is really no point have a good service level if you are too busy to serve those who are waiting. Besides their prices are consistently higher than many other reputable shops.

My endorsement goes to Orient Photo too. While service staff at John 3:16 and MSColor is great, occasionally I still get the feeling at least in the latter that I'm being 'watched' when I enter into the shop to browse around. At least at OP they're more discreet. They don't talk much for certain, but give straight price quotations when you ask them for it.
Funnily though, there were a couple of Mandarin-speaking customers in the shop today when I was there to pick up a new Lowepro bag, and they were a lot more animated in conversation LOL.

I don't mean to discriminate but did you notice that most if not all of the staffs at OP are mainland Chinese ? Perhaps they feel more at ease speaking to Mandarin-speaking customers

hi, for my experience when u need buy the item, just call to quote the price 1st, before going to that shop..
but i until now still can't calling to John 3:16 at funan,
i like OP, thier selling many accessories item. anything you can find there.
for example such as nikon original lens read cap & view finder, it's easily you can get there.

Just got my Canon Battery Grip, 270EX flash, B+W UV Haze filter, Canon original battery and LCD protector from OP. They even allowed me to use NETS and not need to hand over cash (unlike some other shops). No qualms buying from them, but like shopping in Sim Lim, you should know what you want and the approximate price, just walk in, ask for the price, try it and pay if satisfied.

John 3:16 is rather popular now with more Ang Mo patronising.
Cannot blame them... i will also serve Ang Mo 1st if i m in their shoes cos Ang Mo usually got more spending power
In the end, i got my camera from TK Photo.

Back then I was choosing btw Sigma & SBs... tried out the flashes, w/o any pressure from the OP staff. That's what I like when purchasing stuffs, making a sound decision w/o feeling pressured to buy it. :thumbsup:

OP is top on my list. I got so many things from them. I guess I am used to the Chinese retail shop management style, I lived in Shanghai for 5 years. LOL
