Bought a Tk12-24F4 lens from them at $710, which is such a great price. I put off getting this lens for so long becos I simply refuse to pay much higher price here in Sg due to CP's stupid way of bundling all those useless freebies.

My impression was similar to others who have bought items from this store, that is to say pretty good. I am sure this store would be a hot favorite among CSers.

Went there this evening and surprise, surprise, they stocked the Canon focussing screen EE- D for the 5D (the one with the grid lines). Bought one for $56. I tried the other stores like CP, John 3:16, Alan Photo and they didn't have any.

Also bought a Transcend 8GB CF card for $170. Last I enquired from Memory World was $190 after the IT fair 2 weeks ago. No surcharge for my CC.

When I asked about getting a shoot-through umbrella, they didn't have any but took down my request and will source for me. Hmmm, lets see, if they get back to me.

Overall, was impressed with their level of service - however, product knowledge not quite up to par. Pehaps give them a little more time to settle down. BTW, I spoke in English as my Cheena 1/2 past 6. No problems in being understood.

Got a quote for the Sigma 10-20 for those interested.

$737 inclusive of 5% GST, for an imported set with international warranty. Note that this is not a grey set.

Sounds like a damn good deal to me!

I have always been serviced by the man who speaks mandrain. He offers good services too and provided me with good recommendations.

That man is Lynn's cousin.

For shoot-through umbrella, look for fellow Cser 'Afiend'. He sells a 24" for $15

Thanks for the info but 24" a little too small for portraits, I think!

He also has one which is 30". This size should be enough for most portraiture shoot.

Imported set w/ international warranty? Got overseas stores stamp and invoice?
Much said, it's still a grey set.

Grey sets = imported units bought locally not going thru the local distrbutors, therefore distributor will not honor warranty.

In order for the international warranty to be valid (as a import set), you'll need invoice / overseas retailer stamp.

do they have website or email ?

Hi, does anyone know how much they are charging for the Nikon D40 inclusive of GST. Also the 55-200 VR lens.

Thanks

Wow! Tempted by the TK12-24 ... is it safe to buy new grey set lens? If yes, itch liao ... ;p

I went there again today 'cos they sms me that they have received the shoot=through umbrellas. They had but they were too small. The people then called up their shop in Shanghai (using Skype) to order the larger size ones. The goods will come next week. Whilst phoning, the video cam was on and I could see their store in Shanghai.

FWIW they can supply you with the 1DmkIII, (abt. S$6,200) the 16 - 35mmL lens (didn't ask the price) at good prices.

Are thier lens and other products come with international warranty? or purely grey set with shop warranty?

Dropped by to get a reflector this evening and enquired about the 1D Mk III. Was quoted around $6200+ and the 1D Mk IIn is going for $5300+. I must say those are very very attractive pricing. Even the 5D ($3700+) and the 30D ($1600+) is tempting me to get my second body...

Upz for a great store with amazing service.
