The Maha or Ripvan charger can charge any type of AA or AAA NiMh or NiCd batteries in any mAh (like GP 1600, GP2000, Sanyo 2100, Energizer 1800, GP 1300, Sanyo 700nicd)

Everyone should buy some extra Sanyo or GP batteries of Eastgear. His rates are the best in town.

Are you sure NiCd batteries also work on the Ripvan charger?

Umm, haven't you seen Eastgear's advertisements for the charger?

Have to say, good charger. am impressed by its performance. For some reason, when topping up a 50% full battery, its runs as cool as my 5 hour GP charger yet charges faster. When charging empty batteries, it gets as hot as other 1-2 hour chargers.

HAHAHA ... sorry i never see the fine print. Now i know i can use my charger to help my friend charge his NiCd batteries.

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where to get this charger? And also the price?

Thanks.

Can someone enlighten me (again), for the OEM Ripvan 100 charger? WHat does mode 01 and 02 (switch behind charger) does? i can't seem to find my manual and any online guide. Thanks. Appreciate the help.

Man, this is a really old thread :bsmilie: ...

Don't have my manual with me, I passed the charger to someone. But from memory, "1" is discharge-then-charge, and "2" is "charge right away". Try it, and check out the indicator lights, you can figure out their operation here : http://www.ripvan100.com/products_recharger.htm
