Online Appeal to WR to reinstate Individual/Dual Memberships for FOZ/FOB

I am a family man and owned family-based membership under FOZ and FOB. But for my friends who are singles, dating, engaged, just married, in the process of making babies......please re-instate Individual/Dual Memberships.

My wife and myself were really disappointed to find out that the dual membership system has been removed. Our membership expires 31 July. We decided that it was not worth renewing our membership since there's only two of us. Our trip to the zoo last sunday was probably the last for a long time ...

As we all know, Wildlife Reserves (WR) recently launched the new Friends of the Zoo, Friends of the Birds and Wildlife Unlimited (FOZ/FOB/WU) memberships for the three parks under its management (Zoo, Bird Park and Night Safari) but at the same time discontinued the individual and dual memberships in favor of family-only memberships.

While the new FOZ/FOB/WU memberships provide great value for families, a lot of ClubSNAP members have voiced out their dismay and displeasure over the discontinuation of the Individual and Dual memberships since a lot of us here visit the Zoo and Bird Park on a regular basis to partake in our hobby.

We are compiling a list of names to appeal to the Wildlife Reserves to reinstate the FOZ/FOB individual/dual memberships, and would appreciate if any member who was or want to be FOZ/FOB members under the Individual/Dual membership scheme to show their support and post a message in this thread.

Please post a message in here if you support this appeal and once we gather enough names, we shall contact the necessary people to see if we can start a dialog/discussion. Please refrain from attacks or opinions on what has happened, instead focus on how we can change things.

This is not a buy/sell ad for non-photographic item(s). I suppose there is nuthin wrong with it, just like the thousands of other posts in Kopitiam section. The zoo is a fav hangout for many photographers ... count me in ...

There are lots of non-photographic posts in ClubSNAP (just take a look at Kopitiam) thus there is no double standard being practised here. About the only place where we are stringent about non-photographic posts are the Marketplace forums.

The Zoo and Bird Park are where most of us cut our teeth with photo outings and, as such, is a very popular photogenic destination for a lot of our members.

Therefore, the issue of membership to the FOZ/FOB does in fact affect us as photographers.
