Bought a filter yesterday from them, customer service so-so only. Filter was not what I expected when I tested at home and wanted to exchange for a lower density one. They DO NOT have an exchange policy for their products. Please take note and be careful when u buy from them. Not as flexible as other shops out there.
 

Then you should have done those tests at the shop. Most shops do not have exchange policies in the cases of 'not-what-i-wanted' performance.

not that i have shopped there or i'm a fan but which shop lets u bring home test and then return next day because its not what u want?

Can you tell me which shop that allows trial and exchange/return locally? I also want to try out some filters.
 

No exchange is normal.

For the shops that offer some customers this privilege, it depends on who you are to them.
 

Exchange policy is not for testing-and-dont-like and so exchange for another type. It is mainly for manufacturing fault that you detect within 7 days that some shops allow exchanging for goodwill. Even that it goodwill, as not all the shops allow that.

If the product has no defects, even if you walk out 5 mins later and walk back, they should not allow exchange. No one is rushing you to test the products in the shop. Test till happy before buying.

Will stay away from shops that allow exchange anytime as well, since the products on the shelves could just be used and exchanged for many times and still selling as new items.

I think it's perfectly acceptable. If the shop is so flexible as to allow exchanges, I will not feel comfortable buying from the shop cos I may end up with something that was returned by another customer.

No exchange policy is perfectly fine. Who can run a shop if customer can bring back purchased items, asking for refund at will just because they got the same item a few bucks cheaper somewhere else?

been there before. they hire XMMs to sell their cameras. from my experience, they know nothing. also, they aren't that pretty.

only consolation is that Instax accessories are pretty cheap there.
 

On the contrary, I went there recently and found that they carry lots of items for cameras. Granted that prices arent the cheapest but looked pretty reasonable. I was served by a male not a XMM, and he was pretty knowledgeable.
Like the abovementioned threads, the exchange is really more goodwill on their part.
 

dont even come and flame me on this. My whole intention is to inform others what I went through and hopefully they will not have to experience what I did... and yes, there are a few shops in Peninsula and Funan which DOES allow exchange policy in a reasonable way.

I bought a lens which did not focus that well on my camera and went back immediately to that shop on the next day. They changed a new lens for me AFTER checking my existing one to ensure no signs of it being used and still in mint condition. This is what we call customer service and for those ignorant people out there, after sales service and a return policy is part of a customer service.
 

You changing your lens because it has focus problems is different from you changing a filter because it's not what you want. There is a difference between product issue returns and user issue returns. They sold you a filter that worked as it was supposed to work ie stop light to a certain point. You already said that the filter was not what you wanted and you wanted something that allowed more light in. As such, you should not be even entitled to the exchange and and everything is down to good will. Yes, the shop has every right to refuse your exchange because there was nothing wrong with the filter.

And I would avoid shops like those. Instead of sending it back to the manufacturer, it seems that they are going to repackage the thing for sale again. Thanks for notifying us that there are shops like these that do exist.

Customer service does not mean bending backwards to meet the demands of the customer. Does not meeting every single whim and demand mean that the staff is unprofessional?

Ohhhh, now the tough words come flying out. I wasn't talking about you, only in broader, general terms, why so guilty?
 

I think I would like to re-emphasize this again since there are alot of brainless jerks who only likes to continue flaming.

My only intention when I posted this is to advise those consumers who would prefer a more friendly and flexible store to avoid this shop as it is ruled with a no-exchange policy and they are quite firm on it. In no way have I mentioned that they are unprofessional or lack in customer service. In fact, I did mention that their customer service is so-so only and I would rate them a 5/10 NOT because they did not allow any exchange. Those who would prefer a no-exchange policy shop, by all means please visit this shop as often as you can and THOSE who prefer other-wise, just avoid it and go to your preferred shop with your preferred customer service and policies. That is all.

I hope I have made myself clear enough and if you would like to continue flaming, AT LEAST use what I have written and not JUDGE. ^_^
