Yeah, the 85 f2 lenses are highly sought after... I have seen bids go up to 600 plus sing dollars on eBay. lol.

OM 85f2, 90f2 and 100f2 are very rare because most owners will not part with them. The 90f2 can go up to S$ 1800 -2000. I have yet to see one of these on the BnS here.

Oh don't forget the 50mm f2 macro. Those are pretty rare too.

Infact all the F2s are hard to come by, starting with 21f2, 24f2, 28f2, 35f2, 50f2 macro, 90f2macro, 100f2, 180f2, 250f2.......Unfortunately, Oly today is 4/3 and I just can't bring myself from 35mm down to 4/3, otherwise they also have sensational lenses.

Where you get this film? Sure like to try a roll. Am busy lately with my grandson and also completing some custom fishing rods that I owe to some of my friends. Anyone else care to organise an outing?

Yes, let's have another outing.

Since the last outing, I have gotten my OM-4T and a few lenses. ;)

Hope to learn something new from everybody :)

Think really mus make it worth! No more wasted shots

Should be OK as most of such lenses have very little variation.

Someone just advertised here a brand new 50f1.4 s/no 1.1 mil + and a few others. Problem with this guy is that he refuses to state a selling price and as such, it's very difficult to make any offer when one doesn't know the street value. Hope he is reading this as I will advise hime to start with a bid price that he is comfortable with.

Yeah, i smsed the guy and he merely replies..."please offer a quote". quite frustrating.

He did have a follow up post to highlight current offer is $400. IMO, Too high a price to pay. But then it is brand new and unused. And for a 50/1.4 lens, maybe still can do lah.... I will take it at $300. :)

At 300 I don't mind having a 2nd copy but you can have it first, I still have space for the 85f2 but I can't offer as I do not have the s/no.

Anthony,

What adapter are you using for your OM/Canon combo. I've been told that canon 5D makes a good match for older manual focus lenses by CHIFF. Also did you put in a custom focusing screen? Which focusing screen is best suited for these manual focus lenses. A bit tired of my m43 EP-2 which doubles the focal length and depth of field. Looking to go FF digital body with my collection of OM lenses. Many thanks.

Canon 5D, the closest to an SLR with a digital sensor. Excellent FF with 12 mp, good dynamic range, excellent color rendition with most alternate lenses. I love the OM jewels and they really shine on the 5D. I change the focusing screen to a Canon Ee-S super precision matte screen. I also change my VF to a KPS 1.35x. The OM-EOS adapters with focus confirmation from Tagotech, mass sales here, is very accurrate. I have 5 of them. Let me know if you need help. By the way, I used to own the 40D and whenever I review my old photos, I wanted to buy it back. I believe, both these two older Canon models have weaker AA filters and thus they render excellent details, sometimes even better than the 5D2.

Yes, indeed. I also own the 5D Mk1 and I find the colour and rendition of skin tones really natural and close to what my eye can see.

Hope this is not OT, but here's a portrait of my girlfriend shot with a 50mm f1.2 at f1.2 with the 5D, not a Zuiko lens but for the sake of showing a sample of the skin tones.

Here's the link to the image: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4112/5000877799_45121c42b8_z.jpg

Im waiting for my AF-Confirm adapter to arrive in the mail, hoping to test out the new Zuiko lenses I've acquired. Excited :D
