Hi,

Your Varta battery is of 1.5v instead of 1.35v.
As analox suggested, you may try to check the accuracy of the shutter at 1/15 and below.

Else, for cheaper option you may need to self compensate the f-stops during low light or night shots.
Example if you night shots is constantly over by 2 stops, then you need to reduce by 2 stops to have correct exposure.

Note :
Anyway, for film the tolerance for over expose is pretty good compared to under-expose.
Even up to 2 stops should not be of any issue unless you are using slides.

thanks teo! sorry for the late reply.

btw im getting the 28mm 2.8 lens for 150. is that a good price or would i be able to get one cheaper?

Most OM lenses have many variations and prices of such lenses can vary depending on variation and condition. If you go backwards on this thread I have attached a few links to where you can do your research on most OM lenses and understand how you can tell one variation from another.

i think the meter works de same as on dslr..just that on dslr...normally when u shoot under AV mode or so, u can delete away some slightly over exposed shots...or under...especially when it catches the light from background rather than from the subject...but for SLR..it has to be 1 killer shots....so sometimes u need to check if there are any lightings ard the subject to determine if u need to under expose it a little or over expose it a little...:)

The good thing about negative is, u can still salvage as much as possible.....slides wise, u wont be able to...:)

ahh isee.

btw guys this may sound noobish but we can totally store the film slr the same way as a dslr right- in drycabis or boxes?

yoz everyone!

I am back... armed with an OM2N now! hehe... just curious... where can i get a soft shutter for my OM2N (for vanity sake)? :D

example (referring to that red beetle thingy on the shutter):
