OM , OM1 , OM2 , OM2N , OM3 , OM4 photo-sharing and possible meetups

Hi,

Will like to post some of the picture. New to this and do not know how. If you can advise, I can post some of the picture that I took with my dslr.

Simple, if you have any photo at any website or the galery here just do this:

Hi Anthony,

There was no instruction on uploading photos in your reply.

Appreciate your help.:cheergal:

Very simple lah. Post your photos at 'galery'. The link was provided by Royaux for you to learn to do this. For that matter, if you have any photos at any website, like flicker, just go to those photos, right click the photo, select 'property' and copy the URL. Then paste the copied URL to where you want to post by doing this:

Basically, you type
COLOR]herethentype[COLOR="red"]

Hope this is clear.

Ok, I am posting the OM 4Ti and 50f1.2 system on behalf of Xu Yeshiong as he still has problem doing it.

Many thanks Anthony. Will try to learn and do posting myself.

Anywhere I can get some tutorial on CS?

Thanks again.

You shud learn to upload your photos to "Galery" here at CS first. I am an old man and never had any formal IT training. I started learning all this internet stuff only after I retired and it's actually very simple. Try harder.

wow, OM4 with 50mm f1.2 looks good...
i read somewhere the 55mm f1.2 is a little smaller.. i wonder how true is it...

i am still deciding to get the 50mm f1.4 or the f1.2..

Never tried the 50f1.2 but owned the 50f1.4 before, pretty good on cropped but corners from 1.4 -2.0 tend to be soft on FF. Overall, still very good lens. There is a very good one on CS BnS, the made in Japan version with s/no greater than 1 million. Believe this is the latest version before Olympus stopped production. May pick up one to keep for future m43.

Will do. Good encouragement, I am retired too, senior citizen status.
Haha.

Looking at the OM4 and the f1.2 outfit brings back some good memories! We all seem to be sharing the same echo chamber! Hahaha!

Yah, I am 64 and my 3 electronic engineer sons used to redicule me for doing things the archiac ways, like using manual focus lens. Maybe we are what we are, but without the internet, we will be out shooting instead chit chatting here.

Sure, other spending time with my grand children, I do spend lot of hours in the internet. Is cheap and fun, maybe not too healthy.

By the way, how is your 5D? I think is heavy for me and I get blur picture due to camera shake even with is lenses. The Olympus OM-4 Ti, a 35mm format is much compact and lighter. The only set back, I cannot see my shots immediately unlike digital.

Sometime we get a bit nostalgia. I am now looking at Contax G1 with Carl Zeiss Planar T 45mm F2 lens. If the owner want to sell, I will have another 35mm to my collection.

You shud post some photos from the OM-4 Ti / 50f1.2 here as I want to scrutinize them. I have OM lenses and are still debating whether I shud go OM-4 Ti or the EP-2 with EVF. My 5D is excellent and will post some photos taken with the OM 24 f2.8 later as I am having some upload problem.

I am reading the instruction booklet now, will buy a roll of film tomorrow to try.

I think that you should go for the OM-4 Ti which is cheaper as compare to EP -2, furthermore with OM your get FF. If I am not wrong you need an adaptor with EP-2.

Anytime you want to try my Zuiko 50mm F1.2 OM on your Canon, let me know and I can meet up with you. I have Zuiko 50mm F3.5 Macro also.

Yes, the 55mm is a little slimmer at the barrel than the 50mm f1.2 - like a normal and beer-belly! IMO, should buy the f1.2 lens. With the f1,2, you have a great expectation, and that's part of the attraction of photography.

Xu Yeshiong and I met a couple of times since we met at this forum. Together we have collected a pretty good range of OM gears to date and still searching.

Xu Yeshiong:

OM-4Ti
OM 24mm F2
OM 50mm F1.2
OM 50mm F3.5 macro
OM 85mm F2
OM 100mm F2

Myself:

OM-2SP
OM 24mm F2.8
OM 35 F2
OM 50 F1.4
OM 100 F2.8
OM 200 F4

Shooting film is really fun. Both of us also own Canon EOS 5D and with just one adapter, we can use all these OM lenses.

Will post my collection soon.

wow, thats really nice collections..
