One of the initial rumors said it had one. With GN 10. But I've not seen that mentioned again since then... We'll know for sure on Feb 8, when it's announced..

Too bad I won't be in Singapore during that time... sigh...

Lol.. Same here. On biz trip. But I should have wireless in the hotel.. So I'll read about it later I guess..

are we able to use m43 lens on the new OMD?

LOL. As expected, the moment the fellow who runs 43rumors reports that the sensor is in all likelihood is a Panasonic, rants of all varieties start appearing.

People should take a course on economics. Olympus is as it is running on a shoe string when it comes to the manufacture of camera bodies, what with PEN production in China. If they bought a sensor from another company, they would either pay a higher price than what Panasonic would offer, or buy so many sensors we would see 2-3 generations of PENs running off that sensor, and there would be more rock bottoom sales of the PEN. Seriously, it's simply supply and demand, along with the statistical nature of semiconductor manufacturing.

Those guys on commenting on 43rumors.com will never be satisfied. I sometimes wonder why they are still sticking to the system if they are so unhappy about it. If it doesn't meet your needs, don't buy! And the funniest thing? A 6 month old sensor is as far as they are concern, an old and obsolete one. I'm quite excited about it but will wait to see if it's worth the premium over the E-P3.

Based on the current situation of the company, my heart is really for the working class people there. I salute those engineers for not giving up and coming with new models. This speaks a lot about their commitment and the perseverance plus resilience. I have worked in such companies and getting approval for investment on tooling (new model) would be a pain. I imagine that they would not design a let down so that they can at least salvage the pride of their engineering and past development. Waiting.....

Even Canon's 4/3 sensor isn't exactly much better anyway! But never mind! It isn't as good as Sony's!

The bigger question is whether they can even afford the best!

If the person is up for chasing latest technology, they usually are doing so with excuse to blame when their work is below par. Of course other reason is that their pocket is bottomless.

A third reason is simply a better tool. It may not allow them to get better results or take better photos, but the joy from owning, using and handling a nice and good looking camera is reason enough.

I wonder if its a good time to replace my trusty EPL1. Was a bit concerned with the sensors because I read from 43rmour website (I think) that it is using GX1 sensor? I am not willing to give up Olympus Truepic sensor because I simply love the color richness too much.
