Dual kit lenses? :) If it is, then it's not a bad price.

oops. forgot to elaborate. yup, it's dual kit lenses.

Your Going to laugh, I got the 510 from QVC, I even got it on 4 easy payments, but I shopped around, it was the best price and best warrenty coverage.

I just check the site they now have the 510 two lens set for $719 no bag or card but still a great price, I landed mine during a christmas special.

He is talking about US$ I guess. :)

Was contemplating on getting E510:think: But noise levels...

Seriously, is it THAT important that noise levels must be super low? :dunno: To me, it's not.

Just have to live with limits, there are limits to everything, read somewhere that the 2 big brands none full frame sensor are only slightly bigger than the 4/3 sensor and they used to give out as much noise in the past but have been seriously surpress in today's technology, give the 4/3 system time and i'm sure the noise will be surpress a lot,but of course,i don't see the problem with the current noise levels but will be to surpress a little bit more, but as i've said, live with limits

Pending on what you are looking at as the most important aspect in your photography. If noise is very important to you over picture quality and colours, then Canon is the system for you and not Olympus.

meat and poison... But it won't hurt if the next gen of 4/3 gets to a usable 25600 ISO as well :D

thinking of getting a 510 for a slave cam

I've been using Oly for the past 2 and half years and so far pic quality's been good. Great dark gradients and colours. Only issue was with the noise. :)

With the current drop in price for the E510, I think the major vendors are predicting that a new E520 is launching soon.

Out of curiosity, how was the noise level on the E3 compared to the E510? Since they are both using a 4/3 sensor.

You might really want to consider the E-420/520 instead.

Different sensor, same algorithym... but what's with the obsession with noise? There is Noise sNinja you know?
