Olympus 25mm f1.8 & 45mm f1.8 cashback promotion

Sorry to side track a bit..

I just got the 25mm lens today, mounted it on my EPL5 and I can hear some noise when the lens is focusing...

The focusing speed and image is very good.. Just wondering if any bros here encounter the same issue on using the lens on older bodies?

I am interested in the 25/1.8. Any bro interested in getting the 45/1.8. The extra discounts from the combo purchase works out to about $50. We can split 50-50., that extra $25 saving each lens. The value of both lenses are relatively close to each other, so there is no need for fancy formulas to for precision calculation like in the previous 17/1.8 and 45/1.8 combo. Thanks

I wouldn't think it's worth it as its a 20/1.7 vs a 25/1.8 aka very close in specs.

i see... but wat about the AF performance or optical quality...?? i'm still using 1st gen pany... and i take mainly food photos... i take my own sweet time to take photos of my food so i just get used to the slow AF speed of the pany...

but then there are times i wish to have faster AF especially when i'm with a group of hungry frens who had to wait for me to finish taking the pics... :embrass:

Hmm... I think u r within the minimum focusing range, that's y it can't focus.

AF speed difference is very noticeable. The 1st Gen 20/1.7ii hunts at times while I have never felt the 25/1.8 hunt at all.

I went to Funan this afternoon just to found out that the promo is not valid anymore as per TODAY....
i checked the price at TKfoto and ALanphoto, the 25mm price has gone back to 476 something...

anybody know where the promotion still applies?
