anyone know of any old playgrounds in SG?

i just saw this channel 8 ad of the girl who likes to drama and talk to herself and there's some scenes of an old playground...

The estate opposite NUS Science there, across the expressway, there's a small old playground there... I saw it the other day when I was walking from NUS to Buona Vista. Haha!

yesh... that kind of playground. wonder where we can find such a playground!

yea... the type of play ground where the slide is make of cement and stone instead... and cover with small mini mosaic

There's an abandoned, dilapidated playground at Commonwealth Crescent. Has some of those old-fashioned concrete slides (maybe even the mosaic tiles) Haven't been there for a while -- last I saw it was overgrown with grass (hasn't been used in over a decade, maybe 2).

Do you want old and functional, or run-down? Sorry, haven't seen the ad in question.

I have been looking for old playgrounds for a few months. Found a few places, but to my dismay, those really old ones, like that metal merry-go-round are nowhere to be found. I figured out that most probably they have rusted (removed as too dangerous for children) and or someone stole them and sell it to metal collectors. :S So I guess it's unlikely to find them anymore, in singapore.

I hope that through this thread I can gather some information on some places which i found online, but do not know the exact location.

I have also heard that there is an old playground in Lim Chu Kang. But LCK is really too big, any idea roughly where it is?

This is classic...i play this most of the time in my early days. There's no more such merry-go-rounds in Singapore right? As in this round metal one
