Lol his is without box. Maybe that's why lower to get ppl to buy. maybe i should try post wts..see how much i can fetch :bsmilie:
lai lai.

RX1 + original Hood + EVF + Limited Handcraft Gariz case + shutter cable + 2 x 3rd party battery. all item about 8 months old. box included .cheap cheap $3k ;p

D box dun cost another 100 bucks or so leh bro... Haha... Wif yr current setup, probably 2.8k? :bsmilie:

They dun have steady hands...

Yup steady hand is of extremely important on the A7r as compare to RX1r. Especially if you mount the lux 50mm. Frankly, once u got it, it is silky smooth and sharp.

For bros who have the A7r, is it difficult getting sharp photos? Some reviewers were saying that may be a problem with the 36 mp sensor.

This is similar to when Nikon released the D800/D800E bodies.
Getting sharp picture was obviously a challenge even with AF lenses what more manual legacy lenses.

Have a big bump in Megapixel generally make everything render with greater details, however if you're looking for 100% zoom sharpness, there is definately a gap in terms of technique and camera expectations and in my opinion camera and lens balance - if its too front heavy there would be obviously some challenge.

I doubt the box makes a difference. The same goes for third party accessories, especially 3rd party batteries. Good luck! ;)

Think the EVF can fetch better price selling separately...

ahh did the same comparison just now after seeing some post on dpreview. Funny how the iso performance on the a7r is better given that the a7 should have pixel size advantage and on the other hand the a7 edging out in dynamic range by a hairline. Proof is in the pudding, this comes to show initial paper specs are always not definitive of certain performance aspects of a camera.

Could be that they had to make room for all those PDAF elements on the sensor...

There are no PDAF elements on the sensor. There is no empirical evidence for that.

reason for dxo's results is due to their testing methodology to "normalize" test results between different resolution sensors. Even with the D800 vs 5D3, where it is commonly known that D800 has poorer high iso performance, DXO rates d800 a better iso performer vs the 5d3.

DXO basically compares high iso results between sensors by resizing images into 8 megapixels. Of course resizing from 36mp to 8mp will yield lower noise vs say 24mp to 8mp. but if you look at images at a 100% pixel level instead of being resized, the results will be very different.

Price falls real fast...

Yeah... prices of older stuff falling rapidly... Was originally thinking of selling off my NEX-7, the kit lens and the 50mm. But prices are so low, I think I'll just keep the camera and pass it to my wife to use. More than 50% depreciation is too terrible for a still functioning camera.

Facts of life we just gotta accept bro... the NEX 7 is still a very capable camera...

Hmm think it has to do with the software and algorithms associated with the sensor as well. I understand those dxo tests were done via stills but in video mode, its clear that the A7r out performs the a7 in noise performance.

Pretty intriguing
