I got the a7. Anyone know how I can see the EV meter? I can't seem to figure it out. I can see the blinking but I can't see any EV reading.

Switch between the display settings by pressing up on the back dial. You should be able to see the exposure compensation settings somewhere.

I can see the exposure compensation setting which is based on what is set on my dial. Is there a reading based on what the camera is metering?

Like a canon light meter. I was using the nex-5n and there was a +/- number that indicated if your pictures were over or under exposed. I use it when I do spot metering.

Got the sony semi hard type in Japan. I think will have to wait for Singapore. It'S pretty good!

Yeah, once I even saw them cutting out a screen protector from a larger foil on the camera with a knife in a Sony store in Singapore. They wouldn't dare to do that in a Sony store in Japan.

i made a quick comparison with my other camear, and if you want a plastic/glass screen protector immediately, can get the GGS one for 5D3.
