Guys, where have you been the last few years? ;) 4 companies have APS-C mirrorless systems.

Yes yes, sorry my mind half asleep *paiseh*. But bottom line, among the other 3 I think maybe only fuji would do an ff mirrorless anytime soon.

It's just a maybe, we don't know. Samsung might be that desperate to just do it and they have loads of cash to risk it, anyway they wouldn't loose much because they have nothing to protect.

Bbb already... so far all e test are promising..
heard from sony store staff that it will launch only with the kit lens n zeis zoom. Followed by both the prime in later date. Which doesnt make sense cuz a7r will have no native lens to go with.

Zeiss zoom only due next year....

ha... i am so tempted by the A7 that i am now looking at smart EF to NEX adaptors to use my canon lenses on the FE mount camera.

wonder if the viltrox will work. I guess if metabones work viltrox should too? any CSers/NEX users have experience with the viltrox to share?

While I have not used this Viltrox, I have followed Metabone's development. IMO, if you need the AF, you should get the Metabone as they are more active in fixing bugs. If you don't need the AF, then probably this Viltrox will also work. The Viltrox does look like they have reverse engineered from Metabone.

Street prices should be slightly lower.

With the anticipated strong demand, local retailers may not deviate too much from the list price. I would not expect prices to be more than $100 lower.

I wonder within the next 6 months, will we see a series of Ff mirrorless cams from the major makers.

There is rumour of a Nikon FF mirrorless coming soon. And since D800/D800E uses Sony sensors, maybe this new body will also use the same set of sensors as the A7/A7r. Now that will be interesting.

I wonder if the PDAF will continue to work with the AA filter removed from the A7?

I though the Eye AF control is supposed to detect eyes in a scene to focus in on them?

From what i heard, its not a mirrorless. Its a fm2 outward design with an actual pentaprism. Comes with a d4 sensor and lists at us$3000.

Anyone buying on release with the kit lens? Imho no point getting both kit lens and 24-70 f4

Zeiss zoom is 16-70 which I suspect could cover apac s only. .. price already out on sony web at 1299

Waiting anxiously for this lens to be tested. If it's going to be anything like the other primes, then a sure must have.
