just received my minolta lenses. Huge pleasant surprise when i saw the 24-105 3.5-4.5

on the left sel 16-70 f4. on the right 24-105 3.5-4.5

Not the sharpest of the minolta zoom, but it hold the record for the smallest 24-105 ff lens of all time, even smaller than the 18-55

After one day test A7R, feel that the shutter too soft =( many time press it before focus leh , think have to use manual focus liao

for a moment i thought you meant the shutter sound not loud enough haha. You mean its too soft to press to gain AF during half press ah ? it is slightly so , after a while, should get used to it. If not, can stick a shutter button to give it more height to press .

I noticed that, too. One of the display sets at Wisma is so soft you can't even distinguish properly between half press and full press anymore. Especially if you tilt this camera a little bit down and press the button just slightly it triggers the shutter already. Well, it was probably just broken. ;) The model next to it was better but still on the soft side.

Actually, its still soft compared to my old A850 with the mirror slap. Its like unloading a round on the GPMG

How does the LAEA4 adaptor work with the 135 1.8 zeiss lens? Is the AF fast or retarded on the A7?[/QUOTE

AF is normal as per on my A99. Will hunt if shooting low contrast area. But its a heavy setup =S

Have you checked Phottix?

I bought the phottix intervalometer previously for my dslr. But sony decided to go with a different connection for their a7/r. Hope it's just a simple short circuit connection and not some complex programming behind their smart wired release accessory. I believe this camera is too new for 3rd party sellers to create this New remote. Do correct me if I'm outdated though.

i think the mini A7 slot at the hotshoe, just browse at japan web saw this , btw the web are not to show this mini A7. They are talking about the A7R vibration

ic, there is an article at http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/a7r-shutter-virbation-is-a-non-issue-test-by-ferrell-mccollough/
that suggest that the vibration issue seems to be overblown. Oh well, pixel peepers seems to be making a loud of noise since the days cameras can use ISO 800 and beyond.

I recall the days where Sony started the A850, it was slammed for the shutter sound and it cannot shoot low light. When the A7r is out and apparently can shoot low light very well, it was slammed for too much artifacts and compression. Haters love to hate, I guess. I dunno all these technical details, I am just a happy user to record images I see wherever I go.
