How much did you pay for? Is the process lengthy?
Is it like Canon where u gave to go to the canon service center to convert? Canon's international warranty is 6 months instead of full 12 months. Not sure if same for sony.

tourist warranty is as good as international warranty just gotta bring the tourist warranty card when servicing thats all

it's 12 months. But if buy your consumer electronics locally u get 15 months when registered online , 3 extra months.

And btw, I have tested and it actually is true.
Make sure is the authorized dealer from Sony before you make your purchase.

I reserved and paid in full about 2 months before launch, can't really remember the price already.
I didn't change to tourist warranty cause I didn't see a need for it. Afterall I live here in HK.
A bit late , but wanted to catch up on the previous discussion about Voigtlander lenses on the A7r.
In my humble opinion,they don't work well. Also I am a Voigtlander fan for the Fuji X-E1 and the Ricoh GXR-M , where they perform fantastic ( talking about the 12mm, 15mm, 21mm and 40mm , all Leica M Mount) , they just dont perform well on the a7r. Color cast is there for all wide angle , and vignetting is also strong. In fact, the defects are so strong, that you cant adjust them with the Sony lens adjustment app. Color cast in the corners (Magenta, specially with bluish and white background) , strong vignetting and some funny yellowish color cast in the upper centre area. The only way to really correct this well is with Adobe Flat Field Correction . This lightroom plugin works fantastic for all the Voigtlander issues on A7R. Additional, corner sharpness and resolution is not good enough ( for me) on the 12mm and 15mm. However, without post-processing, I found the result form Voigtlander Lenses on the A7R very disappointing. Not that this are bad lenses, as mentioned before, they work absolutely fantastic on Fuji and Ricoh, but they just dont fit on the A7R . If you want a cheap and sharp wide angle solution , the Samyang 14mm ( Nikon Mount) , works absolutely great on the A7R. Very sharp, almost no vignetting, no color fringing at all. And it does not burn a hole in your pocket. Other Nikon MOunt Lenses ,such as Zeiss 18mm, Zeiss 50mm, Nikon 105mm Macro,Nikon 55 Macro and the Voigtlander 20mm Color Skopar with Nikon F Mount work great as well. I also have very good experience with the Zeiss Tele tessar 85mm , Leica M Mount.

Yeah, of cos crop sensors won't see the problematic areas. It's been cropped out... yes literally.
You have only mentioned the UWA lenses, (btw it's the same with Leica & Zeiss m mount UWA lenses), so it's technically not right to say Voigtlander lens don't perform well with the A7R. The 35mm, 50mm, 75mm is very fine.
Anyways, the A7R fares worse than the A7 with regards to this topic.

Tin Cheung at Mongkok. Then proceed to Sony (nathan rd (oso at mongkok) level 9) and transfer the warranty to Singapore.
The walking distance between both sites is less than 5mins.

Just grab the lens from changi on your way to HK and buy the body here to kick off your firing squad!
There is a big price difference from Sony Store to Authorised Dealers to Non Authorised and water goods dealers.
Those that Anders quoted could be from Sony Store retail price.
