HaHa. Busy, Busy, Busy.

What you saw is an Antonov An-124 if I am not mistaken.
Whoa you guys are GOOD!
That's exactly what I saw ;)
Huge thing, it was.
But now comes another question xD
Whose plane was it? O.O

Talking about Heron, could we possibly see a RSAF IAI Heron on display any time soon?

Seems like the Searcher II is not fitted with an EO turret payload.

I was fortunate to have taken the same craft a little while back. (see post on page 37 of this thread). So "Searcher II" is the name of this UAV? I think my shots had the UAV fitted with the EO turret... Now here's the question... What does "EO" stand for?

Thanks in advance for your kind enlightenment.

I am hoping to see a Heron TP or a HAROP in the skies of our motherland; that bird more impressive and huge.

The Antonov An-124 that you saw could have been operated by Antonov Airlines/Volga-Dnepr (Ruslan International) or Polet Airlines.

Yup. ;)

EO in this context is an acronym for electro-optical. Gyroscopically stabilized eyes for the Searcher II.

The Heron TP is a beast indeed.

Thanks, Orion, for your reply and enlightenment. :)

Going to google "Heron TP" ;)

Did anyone else see/hear the 2 CH-53E Super Stallions which took off fro Paya Lebar Airbase about 20 mins ago??
(Sorry, didn't have my camera handy)
They headed North over Johor before swinging East.

Yes, I was stunned when I saw 2 objects over north driving along the expressway. It seems foreign to me and the profile was not the norm.

Did you get to see any markings.

No, I heard a strange noise emanating from the airbase.
(haven't heard it before - not a sound I recognised)
Didn't think to look until it was too late.
By that time they were already too far away too see any markings.
Sorry.

Just realised that on static aircraft display at Singapore Airshow 2012 will be a RSAF IAI Heron I UAV.

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are here for Commando Sling beginning yesterday.

The AV-8B Harrier II and CH-53E Super Stallion (as previously mentioned by Buhweet and Gilcrest) are stationed on-board the USS Makin Island (LHD-8).

Saw a pair of AV-8B Harriers flying towards PLAB
(I was driving on the ECP about to enter the KPE tunnel) at 5:10 pm this evening.

I wonder............if they were to land at PLAB, do they land conventionally, or vertically?!?

(I suspected there might have been a LHD/LHA around.)
