first trip out with X70, and i tot of giving my humble feedback...take note that this is my personal opinions hor!
seeing so many good things about the x70 online, i think i'll play the devil's advocate and give the other side of the coin...
well, i do landscapes too, and its a habit for me to zoom in 100% to check the sharpness (old habits die hard). i'll be honest, i feel the X70 images isn't as good as X100T, in terms of noise control and sharpness. i acknowledge that it could be some settings of mine that i didn't adjust, but i'm comparing X70 to X100T without any adjustments to in-camera settings like sharpness contrasts etc.
buttons placement will be a problem for big handed friends. its not the most comfortable camera to press the buttons, but its a give-and-take la. you want small camera, expect smaller layout lo~ cannot be u buy a Cherry QQ and expect to run like a Bugatti right
focusing seems a tad slower den x100t too, esp out @ the streets...but its negligible la...until the day humans walk as fast as F1 cars, its not an issue...
good thing, its small, really small. silent + tilty screen adds a new element to your shooting experience and gives you new perspective.
the digital teleconvert is really useful, but you must expect a drop in image quality...
given a chance, will i sell my x100t for the x70? well, its still too early to say...
PS: does anyone knows how to switch off the display without turning off the camera? pls let me know! thanks!
