Official Fuji X70 thread: The Petite Powerhouse

Just only managed to open my X70 after owning it since day one. Quite disappointed that the box does not include a desktop charger. Any idea how much a deskstop charger costs?

X70 designed to be charged via USB. Hence desktop charger not supplied. But they do provide a USB charger like those of your hand phones. Goes the same as Sony alpha 7s.

Correct. Anyway if TS needs an desktop changer it's the same model as the X100 series batteries (NP95) , drop the Svc Centre a call at 6383 9933 for an updated price.

Thanks for the info. I tend to carry multiple batteries when i do travel. Thus the need for a desktop charger. Looking forward to taking some photos with the x70!

hi guys! im assuming most of you alr have shot many pics with the X70, any issues with the camera so far?

Could someone please share some real world photos using the digital tele-converter feature? (35mm and 50mm)

here you go.

I was lazy and so just shot whatever was in sight and took the photos out straight, so pls don go yada yada why it shouldn't be better exposed etc.

Hope this helps. Essentially, digital crops are what they imply - u r cropping into your 28mm shot image so one does lose a bit of IQ along the way.

Thank you Keith, I couldn't find any sample shots over the internet where I could check the image quality. Doesn't look bad to me. I am selling my X30 and since most of my photos taken at 28mm I am tempted to get the X70 if it could give me about the same image quality after cropping in.

If you could just upload the original files somewhere to download, that would be awesome.

Go Funan Fuji showroom test is the best way

Hi,

I agree with coolhirako. The best is still to make the trip down to Studio, ask for the set and pop in your own SD card for comparisons plus u can test the camera proper.

Some friends have also asked me can the X70 do continuous shots using the Touch Screen and the answer is yes, and with the common next question to be 'how fast?' - I will say a trip is really needed as its all subjective.

Lastly, if for some reasons you just can't go to studio, pm me your email and I'll send these 3 files to u.

Any comments regarding the "waxy" photos?

Thanks for the recommendation, I went there today and I have to say it is a real surprise. However, I cannot justify its price at the moment over my X30, maybe later down the road, when it drops a bit. Thanks again!

X70, highly recommended by me! Its a very convenient tool. I don't pixel peep, yet I feel u need a tool sufficiently to capture the moment. This is it. Compact, quick, good in low light, decent bokeh despite waxy skin due to this gen of sensor?

Interestingly, I had a picture taken with X-T1 and I accidentally set the iso to 12800. But its one of the favourite picture that capture the feelings of the eyes. No one really ask me about the noise, they just said the picture is nice.

Great tool for travelling!
