There is no eyelet, how u going to fix your neck strap without the clip mount?

Just wondering if there's any alternative out there.
So maybe I use the straps that hsd a tripod socket.

Curious if anyone has compared the EF-M vs. EF-S for Canon's 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM.
Same same but different?

Unless you already own EF-S STM version, else I see no point to use EF-S with adapter on eos m which is heavier (with adapter) and bulkier.

I'd think the tha EF-M version should be more compact and lighter too perhaps. Just curious how they actually stack up head to head though.

I know EF-M is sharper than EF-S Mark II (non STM), but no sure about EF-S STM. However I don't think the difference in image quality is so significant or justifiable to use EF-S version with adapter on EOS M.

Anyone heard of Samyang 12mm f2 ncs lens for eos m? Its supposed to be a manual focus lens equivalent to19mm fov on eos m sensor. Info available here http://m.dpreview.com/news/2014/03/21/samyang-announces-12mm-1-2-0-ncs-cs-wideangle-for-mirrorless

I dont see the real benefit for choosing the samyang over the canon zoom.
considering with manual focus and exposure.. unless

You shoot lots of indoor in dim situation requring a F2 aperture
outstanding image quality...much better than the canon zoom

then maybe

then also more difficult to choose samyang when efs10-18 is coming at probably a lower price tag.

There is this deal for Kit III going at $705.
Do you guys think it is a good deal? There are rumours that the EOS M3 is going to be out in Q3 though.

If u r from Canon DSLR user who has EF or EF-S lenses, kit II is more suitable as it comes with EF-EOS M adapter.

Having say this, you still can purchase adapter separately even you go for kit III with additional cost.

Both kits have 22 f2 pancake lens, the difference is Kit II with adapter, Kit III with EF-M 18-55 + 90EX flash.
And you have more color to choose for kit III (ONLY black for kit II)

Kit III is no longer listed in Canon sg web. Probably they are clearing old stocks for coming model...

was at a shop to buy the 55-250mm STM IS and tried out the 11-22mm. was tempted to get it as well but already has a 10-22mm. i must say that the 11-22mm is very solid looking, compact and lightweight at the same time. plus... you don't need the adaptor!!!

in terms of IQ, i don't think there should be much diff between the 11-22mm and 10-22mm?

Slight edge to 11-22. However, u lose 1mm at wide.
You can sell your 10-20 and get 11-22 IS STM with some pocket money if you no longer using aps-c DSLR.

yup, no longer using APS-C. the reason why i still have EFS lenses is because of the EOS-M. but i guess i will slow sell them.

anyone knows where to get a spare batt for the EOS-M? A fully charged batt could only last about half a day. some more not continuous shooting. Anyone has the same experience?

The battery can't last long. It a small battery plus using lcd screen use up more battery. It like point&shoot cam where normally the battery won't last. Most of time I will dim the screen to save bit of power, but then when under bright sunlight will have problem seeing the screen.
You should be able get battery at most camera store

You need at least 2, safe side 3 batteries for whole day shooting, especially during travel.
