Hi Guys,

Just wondering, other than inbox Camera CD that comes with 6D, what are the other programs that you are currently using and would recommend for RAW processing for Canon 6D?

Lightroom is very popular for post processing and so is Photoshop. Lightroom tends to be the standard tool for processing RAW files. Once processed in RAW, further processing can be done in PhotoShop if necessary.

Many users also use DPP (Digital Photo Professional) which comes on the CD with your camera. It is also a great tool for processing RAW files but not as extensive or powerful as Lightroom.

when you all buy in Singapore, does the thing come with a bag?

Aperture is gd if u use Mac. Sometime native raw converter like DPP is better when processing raw photos.

anyone knows how to activate its wifi?

I cant seem to turn it on and the GPS, it doesnt have the location on the info display of the picture.

I downgraded from the 5D3 to the 6D, and always thought that the 6D screen had less visibility in bright sunlight due to the plastic lcd screen cover compared to the 5D3 which is protected by glass.

Today, I removed the plastic screen cover of the 6D, and replaced it with a GGS screen protector for the 6D, and as you can see from the image below, the plastic cover is really thick plastic! Now I like my 6D even more haha...LCD clarity seems improved in bright sunlight with less internal reflections.

the screen cover is easy to remove. just used a hair dryer to blow at the screen edges for 20-30 seconds, placed a strong suction cup onto the screen and pulled it right off.

what you see below now is the 6D, without the official canon thick plastic lcd protector, replaced with a GGS 6D glass screen protector which fits perfectly in place of the original part.

where did you buy 6D GSS protector and Cabon Fibre tape? And how much are they?

Ha both eBay. Price wld vary with the seller. $10 or less for the ggs. Carbon fibre depends on the amount you buy

Hi Guys,

Randomly came across this video, Canon 6D v Nikon D600 (not starting a brand war) ..

Nikon D600 vs Canon 6D Epic Shootout Comparison - YouTube

But do check it out, it is quite a long video but i think this Botak Dude is NOT KELONG ( eg. digitalRev - i still watch it though for entertainment value ) & very professional in his test & results ...
he actually states the settings & post pics for you guys to pixel find...

he also perform some very interesting tests ...

for removing ggs oso the same? i got a larmor supposingly is the same manufacturer from ggs but i stick over the plastic screen though o.o

yup, same way for removing the GGS. I had the GGS applied over the original plastic screen initially as well, but didn't like how it stuck out. now it is well fitted and flush with the camera body.

I have a unused ggs screen for the 60D. Did a rough measurement and it seems to fit the 6D screen. Do you know if both bodies have exactly the same screen size? Was tinking of just sticking it over the existing screen but your method seems like a better option.

I just bought 6d kit from johor, johan photo. 7500 myd. about 3k at my exchange rate.

the easiest way to find out is to just place the 60D ggs onto the 6D to see if it fits exactly.
